Me no have good words Me no good puzzler

This game is great, if you wanna feel like the stupidest person who has ever lived. I spent fifteen minutes on the word TWIRL because all I had was the RL on the end. I just sat there thinking 'there are no words that end with RL, this is impossible, the people who made this game messed up' Another one that took an hour away from me was CRYPT. Then it hit me TWIRL, CRYPT. I'll never get over it Five Stars

This is a great game to play when you have just got 20 minutes to kill. I've never had any of the UI issues that some people have mentioned. You get letters which need to be slid into place to form a crossword style answer. There are no clues so you need to have a good understanding of the English language. There is only one correct answer layout. It is refreshing to have a game aimed at the English for a change. Don't believe the negative reviews. They are just from Americans who cannot understand that this is the correct way to spell aluminium.

If you can find another word game like this, get that one. [i]Lexica[/i] is a minimal viable product in terms of features and presentation, and I couldn't tell you if some of these words are esoteric, non-standard spellings, or just plain fake, but I do know they fall outside of my lexicon. Nevertheless, I [i[haven't[/i] found this type of puzzle elsewhere, and good gracious, is it wonderful. Despite my complaints, I'm madly in love. [i]Lexica[/i] is one of the best word games I've ever played.

As I was pondering how I had only 7 hours on Mini Metro, a game I have played very often, I checked other games for comparison. Though they’re very different games, I play Lexica on a similar pick-up-and-play basis, but I’ve played for both more hours and on fewer occasions. I thought maybe the puzzles took longer, but I think the puzzles are on average relatively short. I must play several in each sitting. Then I wondered why I play so many puzzles at a time. Are they that digestible? I thought about describing Mini Metro as “tedious,” but decided that it wasn’t. Lexica can be tedious. You can get stuck and swap letters for a couple of minutes before finishing the puzzle, and the satisfaction of finishing a puzzle is fleeting. I think what keeps me at it is the completion aspect, because Lexica is far more up-front with how many puzzles it has, making completion part of the focus. I recommend Lexica on these grounds: you can see what it is, you know what you’re getting into, it’s perfectly functional. As much as I’m not a fan of it, I don’t dislike it; the puzzles are good for brain-tickling. I just find it unremarkable as a video game. I might complete all of the puzzles someday, though it’s going to be many years later, if that.

[h1]Difficult, but satisfying. Great in small doses[/h1] Lexica is one of the hardest word games I've ever played. Since there are no prompts or clues, the words could be anything as you try to unscramble the letters. The hard pack, which I'm currently halfway through, is no joke. I often play with a dictionary open, to check if my letter combinations form real words or not. Granted, I'm not a native English speaker, but I think some of the puzzle words are very obscure. Overall, it's a challenging game and very satisfying when you complete a puzzle. I recommend Lexica in small doses to avoid frustration - some puzzles are real brain-burners.
