Unfortunately, this is the weakest game in the trilogy for me. The levels felt repetitive, the puzzles were annoying, and I honestly struggled to get through some parts of it. It also suffers from a bit of unnecessary padding, and even the story was the least interesting of the three. That said, it was still fun playing in co-op, and being able to use characters from the Justice League as well as the villains added a lot to the experience.

I tried, I really did. But this is just awful This should not be called Lego Batman. Suit switching simulator. Grab correct suit, use ability, move 10 meters, new suit. Just no. No.

its kinda just ok ngl but nothing beats the first 2 games

My favorite game of the trilogy. The game is not as popular as the second one because instead of one big open world, this game has smaller planets that you can visit. Now I didn't get the hype around 2's Gotham City, but it does feels like a big downgrade. The levels are pretty good, I think Lego Batman 1 still had the best levels, but this is a close second. Liked how they made the different lantern corps an important part of the story, I have a sweet spot for them. But the one thing this game has over it's predecessors is the character roster. This is the biggest in the series, with many deep cuts and fun inclusions, like Condiment King. But this means they can't make every character unique, most of the times they share abilities, but they still have unique animations. Overall, I think this game is a fitting end to the original trilogy, haven't played Legacy of the Dark Knight yet, but I'm excited for it.

Really enjoyed it, another game 100% and removed from the backlog, cant wait for Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight.

Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (which should be named Lego DC Super Heroes) is the third entry in the Lego Batman series. This game should really not have the Batman name in it but I imagine they did it to ride the popularity of Lego Batman. The game has the fundamentals of your usual Lego game; going through numerous stages with different characters to watch a narrative play out. Then after that you go back in Free Play to snag all the collectibles. That gameplay loop is fine, I like it cause I can just easily unwind. This game though... Has flaws. A lot for me personally. I'm going to quickly touch the narrative, it's whatever. Very weak for original Lego stories despite the main cast consisting of the Justice League and their respective villains. Next is level design, which I personally didn't care for either as it ranges from mind-numblingly boring to just flat out too long. Even using the checkpoint system in Free Play to snag the collectibles I still found it tedious. Presentation is pretty good, enviroments are pretty and textures are good. Though the main issues I have come from how buggy and glitchy this game is. Let's start with collision- cause holy red bricks half the time the game does NOT register your actions whether it's for puzzle solving or combat. The combat one is the worse as I could not kill enemies even if I switched characters, and some thrown objects also not registering. Next would be performance- as it's a Lego game it should run fine and it does... Sometimes. The game will sometimes freeze for a few seconds or just straight out hard crash my PC. Now reviews are objective, so my issues may not present to you but I can't recommend Lego Batman 3 as the issues just make it too hard for me to finish reaching 100%. If you do crave a Lego game I highly recommend Lego MARVEL Super Heroes 1, Lego City Undercover, and/or Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga.
