There are no dogs to pet in this game, but I had fun.
I tried, but with a 1440p screen this is unbearable without fullscreen. Pls fix this dev, I loved HROT and really want to play this, but give us fullscreen at least ;_;
Does suffer from some obtuse puzzles and can be tedious with how much you have to go back and forth. Otherwise a very atmospheric game from the dev of the hit game, HROT. Worth checking out if you can buy it under a dollar.

It's a pretty interesting short game with unique gameplay. Don't expect a King's Field or a focus on fighting. It's mostly puzzle solving. Sadly a few puzzles are almost impossible to figure out on your own. For example the last item you need to finish the game. How the ♥♥♥♥ are you supposed to find that out. Or find a mini-crack in a 3-layer deep cave to progress. It feels like the dev knows that this feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but nevertheless put that convoluted puzzles in the game to troll people. Even the web guide i consoluted, stated that they couldn't beat the game until 1 month after because they couldn't locate the last item. Only after the developer wrote them back and told them what do to, the guide could be finished. Absolutely amazing. 10/10 puzzle design. It's still fun tho.

Low-Poly Nostalgia, High-Poly Softlocks
LEGIE really intrigued me with its low-poly design that reminded me of the times when my life was actually worth living. But is the game worth playing? Well, if you don't expect the same level of quality as HROT, then sure, it's worth it. It's a nice little mouse-only adventure. The biggest downsides are technical. You can't really play the game in fullscreen at a normal resolution. If you set your monitor to 800×600, then yes, fullscreen works if that's your thing. I played the whole game in windowed mode, which didn't bother me too much, but if the game had been significantly longer, it would've become a major issue. There are also numerous opportunities to get softlocked. It happened to me twice. The first time, I couldn't get the pickaxe from the guy in the tavern despite making the soup for him. The second time was in the last dungeon, near the end of the game, where you're supposed to drain the water so you can grab the key from the coffin. You can literally trap yourself inside a room with two locked doors. Thankfully, thanks to my good old childhood experience with games like this, I save compulsively. Because of that, I didn't have to replay the whole game on either occasion. I also had to look up online that you need to give the cog to the blacksmith so he'll give you the second one, and that the final chest containing the book has a false bottom, which you reveal by using the bent bar on it. Neither of those solutions felt particularly intuitive. To sum it up: LEGIE isn't anything special, but it has a charm. The dialogues can be genuinely funny and interesting at times. The combat is incredibly average, but thankfully the game doesn't rely on it too heavily, so it's fine. The story is all over the place and feels pretty random at times, but at least it's human-like randomness. These days, we can be grateful it isn't just another pile of generic AI slop. For one euro, it's definitely worth it. You can finish the game in about 2-4 hours, depending on whether you'll have to reload because of the softlocks.
6,5/10 - Short adventure that's more enjoyable than polished. It's rough around the edges, but unlike certain modern games, at least its flaws feel human.
