The physics in Legendary Tales was built to mimic the way real weapons feel and act as close as possible while still being fun to play. Weapons have their own weight so that larger swings will do more damage. Not only that but enemies and destructible items also react to how hard you hit them for a truly engaging experience.

Want to try sneaky kills with a dagger? Hit your enemies from afar with a bow? Or just mash some faces with a morning star? There are a host of different weapon types to suit your play style so find what works for you! And for every weapon type you will find so many variations on their stats thanks to random number generated items. The items are classed into five categories ranging from normal to Legendary. which not only look awesome but have special abilities. What abilities? You’ll have to get one for yourself to find out.

As you fight your way through the world, your character will grow based on how you play. But there’s more to growth than just how you fight, work your way through the magic and skills available to truly bring your character to the next level.

Weapons are fun and all but through the skill tree you can improve your abilities with combat skills or find yourself a Legendary item with their own special abilities and even more, you can upgrade their skills!
If hunting for weapons in the dungeons isn’t for you then we have good news! You can create your own weapons with ingredients found on your adventures, or by honing the weapons you’ve collected. You can also make potions to prepare deep dungeon crawling and disassemble items you found during your adventures to get ingredients and enhance your crafted weapons or potions with them.
Get ready for an epic adventure in VR! Put on your headset, find some friends and head into the dungeon to start creating your own Legendary Tales.

Reviews
Was decent in early access when it was fairly cheap but £45 is an absolute joke of an asking price. Do not buy unless its massively on sale, spend your money on Blade & Sorcery which actually has decent polish, awesome skill/magic mechanics and a working dungeon/loot system.
Decent Game but 55 dollars is completely insane. Do not buy this game unless its on sale for 10$ or less.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the worst vr titles you can buy, I wouldn't buy this again for $10 much less $55 Way too overpriced for the amount of value you get out of the game 20 hours-in thoughts below; There's only like 4 enemy types pasted all over the place goblin, skeleton, zombie of which you see pasted all over the place, and then there are ghoul-like things for the final area that play near identical to skeletons. there's bats too I guess? They are hardly an enemy though. Through the near 20 hours I lost in this game, loot was not terribly great and I felt at a certain point, I and my friend I was playing with would have had to grind for hours on end to get even relatively close to the amount of damage the AI was dishing out. Crafting was nearly useless and din't help the lack of quality loot either Oh and the campfires! The main way to heal is to sit by these campfires in safe zones kinda like a souls-like game, however, you only heal like +2 hp per second. So you just have to sit there, and wait, and wait. I was running a high health unarmed build, and after the halfway point I started letting enemies kill me to reset my health because it was miles faster. Honestly I wouldn't be so actively negative towards this game if the studio behind it: 1. Didn't try to defend the $55 price tag on this glorified tech-demo 2. Started to put out meaning full updates to change the major problems it has, not adding a single weapon type every 3 months 3. would list this game as EARLY ACCESS I really wanted to like this game, and I gave it a fair shot. It has amazing potential! But it has a absurdly long list of problems and in it's current state I would not buy this game.
Game shouldn't be as much money as it is, love the game play but should be 20-30 dollars.
Not meant for Single Player enjoyment. Got through the whole game on my own, got through the DLC to the last boss, and here's the problems I came across. 1. Maps are LITTERED with enemies that are hard to sneak past. I mean 5+ enemies in rooms in hallways, every single place they are jammed with enemies. You have to aggro one at a time, which makes the pace of the game a slog and boring. Fighting 2/3+ enemies at a time is janky and not worth it. You could run past them, but that just feels dumb and awful game design. Feels like it was designed for multiplayers to go through and attack, so as a single player it just feels awful. 2. Bosses are VERY unbalanced. They deal tons of damage to you, have thousands of HP that you chip away at and just don't feel designed for one person to deal with them. I'm sure if you had another person to attack while you aggro them, they'd be pretty fun to deal with. As they are now, every boss fight made me want to give up with how unfun they were and how fast you die to them. 3. Dungeons are long, repeating corridors that aren't interesting. It's just doors behind doors behind hallways behind doors, with rooms full of enemies behind each one. Always happy to be out of one before being shoved right back in to the next. probably about 90% of the game is dungeons. I wish they had more variety to them other than different door and wall textures. DLC added some cool places, but they got old really fast. 4. No Guaranteed Healing! In games like these, you usually have some form of a reusable potion you keep, or maybe even a healing spell to get? NOPE! There is no SELF HEALING spell, you can put points into slowly regaining health (up to a max 3 every 3 seconds, WOW) but that's it. There are potions, but you can only MAKE them from items found in pots/barrels, and they are NOT common. I don't understand why the devs don't give you an option to buy potions?? Too many times I've used them all up on a boss, died anyways, and have to grind out more crystals to make potions with! Give us a store to BUY THEM. 5. Enemy variety is awful. Most enemies are just skeletons, goblins and demons. You don't even see the Goblins past a certain point, and demons are in the final area, so really you'll be dealing with mostly skeletons. There's some flying mobs here and there, and DLC actually added 2 new main enemy varieties, wow! I guess quantity over quality right. Overall, there's a ton I love I about this game. Weapon handling is the best I've ever felt, ESPECIALLY with 2 handed weapons. Adjusting where you hold and switch is so nice, they got it right with that. Having a total of 11 Quick Slots in crazy cool (4 on left/right quick select, 2 on hips and 1 on back) I love carrying around all kinds of weapon types and not just sticking to one. Lots of else to love about the game, I just wish when you play it on single player mode, the game catered to a single player mode and not a world that makes you feel like a chump for going it alone. I don't know, maybe play it on easy to counteract it? I was on Normal and can't change, oh well.
Man it's just uh, not very good. Buggy as all hell, and quite a slog. CRAZZZYYY they want $40 for it
incredibly disappointing the direction this game went in to, in the early access it was a fun, procedurally generated dungeon crawler with the only issues really being room and enemy variety, theyve completely demolished the base they had for gameplay and made the game 60 bucks, not worth it in the slightest.
I love the combat physics, its the best in the vr industry but the rest of the game is so low quality - i am sorry but i owned it on psvr2 and forced myself to play but after a year away i bought it on steam and simply refunded it after 45 min. Its crappy at best apart, again from Combat mecanic that is stellar. Not worth even on sale.
This game is NOT worth $55 ($58 after tax). Combat feels like complete ♥♥♥♥ with Index, because weapons keep falling out of my hand if I just press down on the grip even ONCE while it's in my hand, which completely ♥♥♥♥♥ you over in combat. I found myself scrambling for my weapon more than actually fighting my enemies. Another thing about combat, some of my swings just don't even register whatsoever, especially when counter-attacking. Just completely nullified because it didn't register as a swing. Overall, the experience was completely disappointing, because I expected a LOT more after watching the trailers just to be met with a completely slow, disappointing experience. For now, I'm refunding this game, but maybe if it's on sale, I'll pick this up again. I'll follow the game too to see what's going on, since I've been itching for something else to play especially after milking B&S dry both vanilla and modded.
It's sad to see that after i really enjoyed the game and completed it with friends that it's absolutely abyssmal to try to play again. Laggy attempts to do anything involving just swinging a sword to basic combat is extremely sluggish. It maxes out on my cpu and it's irritating to try to do anything in this game anymore. I had really high hopes for this dlc but now i'm regretting even buying it. I refuse to play until something gets fixed about these issues
