No revenue estimate for GOG — its rating/review counts don't calibrate to sales the way Steam's do. The Steam version is estimated at $9.2M — a different platform, not this one.
Layers of Fear is a first-person psychedelic horror game with a heavy focus on story and exploration. Players take control of a painter whose sole purpose is to finish his Magnum Opus. The player must navigate through both a constantly changing Victorian-era mansion and ghastly visions of the painter’s fragile and crumbling psyche. Along the way, players will find bits and pieces of information that will allow the player to understand the dark and sad past of the painter. Psychedelic horror – A sense of insanity means each turn of the camera may completely change the look of your surroundings. Victorian setting – Explore a game world inspired by masterpiece paintings, architecture and décor from the 19th century. Original and classic art – Numerous pieces of original art and music flesh out the story and environment. Story-focused exploration – Only through exploring the environment can you uncover the details of the painter’s dark and tragic past.

Prices
Each copy's latest price in every market we collect, cheapest first. Dollar figures are converted at the exchange rate on the day of that price. A store may not sell to you from another country.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across GOG · Trending · United States over the last 30 days: the 103 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 47 places towards #1, and the 6,574 moves with no price cut behind them went nowhere. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
