Terrible for vr users
Sadly Can't reccomend in its current state, but I'm sure it'll improve over time :) so check recent reviews and see where the game is at
in its current state i dont recommend it but you can host your own server and guys like me like that kinda crap because i have full control over my world and i can build a better community around it how ever i do understand that it can also be a security risk and you would have to trust the server owner with your info such as your ip address but then again if you think about it it all comes down to do you really want to put all of your eggs in one basket

Please note this review may change and obviously the older the last time it was updated is? The less relevant it will become. Some are calling this the possible replacement to VRchat, well in the current build? This is more like a Dev toolkit at best. It runs more smoothly than vrchat, but that's the only real pro it has right now compared to its list of cons If you're the kind of person who has a full body VR setup, with plenty of space? And you thrive on coding, pushing tech to its limits, creating and innovating? Go right ahead. For everyone else however? Vrchat is still the better product at present. Bigger community, bigger selection of user content and with bigger clear plans ahead down the pipeline, even if the program does have some worrying exploits which Lavender doesn't have yet (which honestly might just turn to an apple mac situation, Lavender has less exploits simply just because less people use it, then as soon as that changes? Suddenly all the problems show up) Not to mention the fact vrchat is free, which this wasn't... at best this is only like a developer kit at present, and who knows? This might even be the secret engine used for Projekt Melody...
This game has so much potential. Yes there are bugs and some features are missing at the moment but that's why its early access, but the performance and the IK for full body tracking is amazing, even when using kinect it was very smooth and fluid. Also people comparing it to certain other games, this is going to be a huge gmod sandbox game in VR once more features are added. I honestly cannot wait to see where this game goes in the future
Should have written a review earlier. This game was once announced as an alternative to VRchat when vrchat had lots of controversy (before EAC).. it never delivered on anything.. it was a horrible asset flip of a project with literally no achievement whatsoever.. It's basically one of the largest promise and no deliver scam that somehow didn't end up in a lawsuit. How this game is still on seam and being sold somewhat surprises me.
bruh. this is ♥♥♥♥. i expect alot more tbh even though i considered the down sides due to EARLY access but come on dudes u should have done way better THIS AINT WORTH THE 25 BUCKS BEBE sorry. one make it not like vrchat. 2. fixing bugs helps alot when i played this once i buged out alot 3. make it simple to sing up no 600 steps just to find stupid site. 4. u need something that will keep players wantign play it and not want to YEET it out of there computer. cons? well it can become great fix oen bugs fixed. two no 100% vrchat 2.0 basicly 3 game be free unless they put more into it that make sense in puting 25 bucks on it for.
Community manager called me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥
Development for this game is slow, but at least the devs are responsive. The main dev (and almost everyone else in their Discord server) says that this isn't, nor is it intended to be, a VRChat clone, but that's honestly what this feels like albeit more optimized. The big plus with the devs is that they actually listen to the community. However, with that said, I cannot recommend this game to the average consumer because this is in a very bare bones alpha state. By "average consumers", I mean people who typically play the game and maybe import a few avatar models but don't do anything back-end related. If you're interested in contributing to a game and influencing how it turns out at release, then this might be worth checking out.
Update 2023: No idea if this project goes anywhere at this point but a complete rewrite in Unreal Engine 5 is in the works, as it is right now do not buy it. Is Lavender recommendable right now ? If you love testing and be the first man on the Moon yes. Many cool ideas, very cool and chill devs that actually respond to you. If stuff works, its fast as hell. But for real though, if you just want to game don't get Lavender yet, for normal people its not a product to use yet and btw this is what earlie access is for.
