Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Jul 25 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Late Shift was my first experience with an FMV game, and I ended up doing something I almost never do—I played through the entire thing in one sitting. Then, instead of calling it a night, I immediately started over and played it again into the early hours, making different decisions just to see where the story would take me. I think that alone says more than any score I could give it. At roughly two hours long, there was no traditional gameplay to speak of. No quick-time events, no puzzles, no combat—it was simply an interactive movie where my choices shaped the narrative. Rather than feeling like a limitation, it worked entirely in the game's favour. I wasn't distracted by mechanics; I was completely immersed in the story, constantly wondering whether I'd made the right decision. The atmosphere hooked me almost immediately. A crime thriller set in London at night is already a winning combination for me, but it was elevated by a cast of genuinely believable actors whose British accents and vernacular made me fall in love. It felt authentically English from beginning to end, which is surprising rare in media these days. The cinematography was excellent, with shots that wouldn't have felt out of place in a television drama, while the soundtrack knew exactly when to raise the tension. It rarely felt like I was playing a game—it felt like I was living through a film where my decisions genuinely mattered. That's why it was such a shame the replay experience wasn't better. After finishing it once, I wanted to explore every possible path, but there was no way to skip scenes I'd already watched or jump to specific chapters. Every replay meant sitting through familiar scenes again before reaching anything new. For a game built around experimentation, that felt like a major oversight. Even so, I was completely absorbed by it. There's something uniquely engaging about making decisions in the moment, never knowing whether I'd just saved someone or set events on a far darker path. Few games have made me want to hit "New Game" the moment the credits rolled, but Late Shift did exactly that. For my first FMV experience, it couldn't have been a better introduction. I may have lost an entire evening—and then most of the night—to this, but I don't regret a minute of my Late Shift here.
Very Thrilling Movie

Rating: 7.5/10
Think of it as a 1.5 hour thriller suspense where you have 7 endings depending on the choices you make. Production value felt similar to a big budget web series episode, and it exceeded my expectations. This game really needs some quality of life features and bug fixes. Ex - going through all 7 ending is torture, because you can't skip through any story node. Seeing the same common scene again and again is boring. Even one ending achievement - T.L.D. was bugged for me. Plus suffers from no music-volume stabilization which suppresses dialogue in few scenes.
Overall, I can recommend this for 2-3 playthroughs (4hrs) for a solid, thrilling experience.
Good acting, good story. Should be perfect if I have the option to skip, or replay with different choice instead of playing the whole game again!
It's a decent FMV Adventure game. But the missing ability to SKIP seen cutscenes is just a cheap and annoying way to make you way way longer to get all 7 endings.
One of those few good FMV games. Short and not very memorable. Have a few choices to impact story. OK I guess.
I played this after finishing The Complex, and man, this game is ten times better. The writing, the music—everything is on another level. I felt more connected to the main character because he's just a normal guy clocking in his hours and trying to get by like everyone else. He's just a normal guy clocking in his hours and trying to get by like everyone else, but a series of unexpected events turns his life upside down. The choices in this game also feel much heavier and can significantly affect how the story unfolds. I highly recommend it. In fact, I played it twice back-to-back in a single sitting without even noticing how much time had passed. The only downside, much like the other games I've played from this developer, is that it's designed to be experienced like a movie. You can't backtrack or select specific chapters to see how your choices affect the story. Although I finished the game twice and managed to get two different endings, I think the absence of these features can be tedious for players who are short on time but still want to experience everything the game has to offer. It feels like an unnecessary barrier that only makes multiple playthroughs more cumbersome.
