Reviews
Steamdeck users: skip to the end if that is what you're looing for. Reading the reviews on this one, it seemed like a review was worth posting given the variety of opinions. I played in Early Access and enjoyed it a ton. I had to uninstall it to to make sure that I was ready for release....I did not want to burn out. Other games that I play with a dedicated team had releases so it took a while to get back to this one. Now that it is live, the improvements and changes that have been made were pretty solid. What I would say when comparing this to other isometric ARPG: its built different. You are NOT punished for experimenting....at all...ever. You can even re-spec your mastery if you really feel its needed but this is not a big deal. You spec into skills and can toggle changes whenever. There is a minor amount of exp needed to get the skill fully up to your current level but its trivial; go nuts. The sounds and visuals remind me of how D2 felt when you first played it: amazed that an indie studio made such satisfying effects that surpass any of the AAA titles out there. All the masteries and skills feel so clean in combat...I have yet to find a playstyle I have not enjoyed. How many ARPGs can you really say that about? Is there a Meta? Sure; but that only matters to the bleeding edge. Pick what you WANT to play and just send it. The Devs listened to all the feedback that they were provided. Offline and SF only? Yep. Want to switch to Online and trade? Cool...its literally a toggle with the only limitation being that you cannot sell or trade self-found items when you toggle. That alone sets this one apart. The endgame is fun and the loot....it makes other ARPGs feel underwhelming. You can grab a ton of storage for other characters without grinding for days or a paywall; it INVITES you to test other classes and builds. If you want to go straight into the season and go full meta, there are loot filters that make other ARPGs look like freaking armatures; they can be exported and shared too so the guides for seasonal content are easy to use. Again, playing based on how you want to play is at the core of this game. STEAMDECK: What brought me back (beyond the awesome early access): I wanted an ARPG that was modern but allowed me to play the full game offline on the deck. There are not a ton of great options for those of that want that exp, but with this game, you do not need them. This game is by far the best option for people that want to play on their own terms. More than that: you get amazing performance on the deck. It runs buttery smooth without tweaking settings - at least until endgame where you may want to tweak its slightly based on preference (typically performance vs visual stuff). It also does not hog a ton of storage. I cannot recommend this one enough to an ARPG player that wants the best of both worlds; they nailed it. This is one of the few games where you can see how PLAYER feedback in Early Access actually did what it was intended: make the game better for us. Pick this one up....I honestly cannot see anyone who enjoys ARPGs refunding this one.

Very cool game.
Such a good game with a great story. So many options to customize your characters abilities.
