KuloNiku: Bowl Up!

Very cute game! Personally thought that the game story is actually better than Good Great series. There’s clear goal and progression, also the side characters that not just there, but impacting the story progression. The only thing that itches me is irl, bakso has min 5 meatballs 🤣 Overall, a cozy game that not making you get bored!

Been really enjoying this treat of a game. Aesthetics, awesome. Gameplay, awesome. 10/10!

fun little game. a lot of steam users are always looking for cooking mama style games, and i think this delivers a similar vibe without being a direct ripoff. there are two main styles of gameplay, running your shop, and doing meatball brawls. meatball brawl has more of the cooking mama style minigames and there less of a rush, more strategy involved than what running your shop entails. at your shop, you'll be given an order and you have to complete it in a certain amount of time. less minigames but still satisfying gameplay, and you can skip running your shop if you really want to. the character designs are very cute, but i do feel like the "VN/dating sim" side of the game pales in comparison to the actual game, it's more of a gimmick that drives the plot and your relationships with the characters and less of "i'm going to date my favorite character in this roster". i wouldn't go in expecting what you'd get out of a typical dating sim, even though you can (and should) go on dates with the NPCs, it's mostly for gameplay boons than anything else. you do learn more about their backstories and you can get some cute unique art pieces depending on your choices, but that's about it. i can't really complain though because that's not a heavily advertised part of the game or a real selling point, but if i were to provide some actionable critique, i would love if some of the other characters could be selected as partners in some eventual dlc. esp characters like mami, ludo, the bread delinquent, the catgirl maid chick, the otaku dude. certain npcs are very generic, but because of their designs, i honestly thought they'd be partners/datable/whatever. either way, i recommend this game! the progression is well-balanced, you feel like the game is still gradually increasing in difficulty throughout the game without overwhelming you, instead of turning into a cakewalk halfway through. i still feel challenged and i'm almost to the end at this point. the free cat delivery update is also very cute and adds even more challenge to the late-game!

good game!! characters are actually memorable and lovable, gameplay is fun, and you have the option to choose whether you want a challenge or to just have fun with no stress. the dialogue is really good, too! actually fun to read, didn't feel like i had to skip everything. 10/10
