About
The indie freeware classic returns! It's been 20 years since visionary Swedish indie developer Nifflas (Rhythm Doggo, Ynglet) released Knytt, the first title in the atmospheric platforming series. Made with the help of a passionate group of internet forum collaborators, the game was released for free on the web in 2006, and later followed up by Knytt Stories (2007) and Knytt Underground (2012). IGN called Knytt "an extremely soothing and memorable ambient adventure", while Edge Magazine remarked it was "pure platforming pleasure and a wonderfully soothing soundscape."
To help celebrate the 20th anniversary, Bit Kid (Chasm, WOLFHOUND) is proud to present Knytt Classic, a free pixel-perfect port with full controller support, achievements, bonus modes, display effects, and much more!
Guide the Knytt, a peaceful being who is abducted by aliens for a cruise across the solar system and ends up crash-landing on another world. Explore the atmospheric, maze-like planet and collect all the parts from your crashed ship in order to return home. As Edge put it, "There’s no combat, no switches, and no real puzzles to speak of, just plentiful checkpoints, pure platforming pleasure and a wonderfully soothing soundscape."

A faithful rebuild of a 2000s indie classic! I would gladly pay for this. Here's hoping someone does Within a Deep Forest next!
Great Remaster of a classic game, a chill and engaging experience, extra game modes are a great addition even if they tend to delve into some Kaizo shenanigans. Highly recommend looking at Nifflas' other works, like Knytt Underground, Within a Deep Forest and NightSky.
YES ! It is exactly like Knytt Stories, the game I played when I was very little. Thank you for reviving my Childhood step by step :)

Perfect Remaster of a Perfect Little Game
Formative platformer of my youth which is just as magical today as it was then. Thank you for all the good times, Nifflas.
Finally, we've got another Knytt game on steam. This is a classic freeware platformer from back in the day, with a chill and atmospheric world full of memorable little critters like the green stick-bug thing on the bridge, or the two people cooking hot dogs over a pit of lava. The newly added hard modes (which so far seem to be trolly af, as expected) plus the general amount of polish make this the definitive way to play the game, for sure.
So many fond memories and somehow it's even better than i remember. Thanks and hope to see Knytt Stories in the future
it's alright, cute little exploratory game with nice and varied visuals and music even if pretty simple the "hard" modes don't have much platforming challenge and more often just throw really basic trolls at you (fake walls and floors to walk through or die to) but you can ignore them if you don't want achievements, or look up a map
Simply perfect.
So much more fun than nearly any aaa game released in the last decade.
