- Not a very good fantasy light card game, like a way dumber Slay the Spire or Cardhunter - Would not recommend. I frustratingly probably put quite a bit of time into this one while sick, just because it has an addictive loop and is basically mindless. Good if your brain isn't working well, I guess? I only felt compelled to finish it because of my completionist tendencies. - Cute hand-drawn art style - Similar geeky sense of humor as Cardhunter, but done way worse - Very clear visual language, simple iconography used well - Interesting base mechanics of a line of cards you have to deal with - Flexible in that you can deal with cards in any order, usually - All about managing the cards in play, no deckbuilding - Progression through stat changes - Lots of problems: - So weirdly grindy, takes over 20 hours to beat, should be a tight 6-hour game with tight puzzle dungeons. As is it's really more of a clicker game, very little strategy required - Dungeons are not actually puzzles; they should be! They are just a kind of random assortment of challenges. - Currency quickly becomes irrelevant - Unlocks are not that exciting. Different pawns are super similar. - Doesn't respect the players' time or do anything interesting with the mechanics it creates. I am flabbergasted that they think the player wants to sit though an hour-long dungeon and just mindlessly click the whole time. That said, I did play quite a lot of this haha. - Overall: cute on the surface, interesting potential, mostly squandered

entertaining game, the GM is funny but the challenge and last levels felt like a chore.
