Kingdoms of the Dump

Incredible game. Have not finished it yet but it is a gift that keeps on giving. I initially thought it would be a tiny well polished adventure which turned into a much bigger story. The comedy is well written even through the liberal use of puns. The combat gets pretty deep especially with all the different character compositions and skills etc. The story and exploration are also very enjoyable especially since the world is filled with tiny details that are always a treat to find! I dont like JRPG's but I love this game :)

I have a lot of pros and cons to this game- and I do say it's a very fun and stylish game with a bunch of cool features and characters, music and storylines But the endgame feels more weaker than the other acts- AND WE NEEDED MORE BLUEBIN

This game is really really pretty and fun but the collision in the overworld is pretty janky Im writing this as i climb up an invisible ladder but I can tell the devs put their whole souls into this I just wish the overworld wasnt so janky

An overall enjoyable JRPG with a surprising amount of depth that isn't hung up on on the "lol trash" idea. This game is oozing with love and passion, apparent from very early on. The characters were well crafted without dumping huge expositions. Environment textures can have some weirdness with collision and things and sometimes the platforming sections can be irritating, but not game ruining. It's worth a playthrough if you want a JRPG with a different tone and setting. You're bound to bond with at least one or two of the cast along your journey.

this game reawakened the fantasy in me. i haven't enjoyed an rpg this much since beating ff6 thank u for making this game

Kingdoms of the Dump is really good. It has a 3x3 grid on your side and the enemies side. You don’t cross over but the closer you are to the enemy the more damage you do and take. There’s a time block mechanic, but I could not figure out the timing at all. It just came down to luck for me if I timed it right or not. The story and characters are good. Everything is a trash pun, love it or hate.. I’m in between. The first three acts are really good. The third being my favorite. But the fourth act is much more linear and feels rushed. All in all this is a really good JRPG that doesn’t stay too long.

This game is a absolute labor of love, and it shines through in every detail. The graphics are beautiful, the tunes are incredibly catchy, and the writing is top-notch. If you're looking for a great little JRPG, this one is well worth your time and money. Fantastic job, devs!

Love this game and highly recommend it. The humor and story beats land well and show a great amount of restraint, never leaning too hard into the absurd or ironic. KotD is refreshingly honest without taking itself very seriously.
