I Love Kingdom hearts always have always will
game gud ppl hate to much
So I finally got around to playing Kingdom Hearts III; the back to back news of KH4’s release date confirmation and the unfortunate passing of Hayden Panettiere; the voice actress of Kairi in the first and second installments of Kingdom Hearts, mad me want to give KH3 a shot. So one year after my playthrough of the first two games; I decided now is the time to get into what is by far the most divisive game in the series; Kingdom Hearts III, and my verdict is… I’m conflicted. On one hand, I really like the gameplay; the combat is a bit too floaty, but I prefer it over the first game’s jankyness. I also think the skills are a bit too randomized; you can’t choose which of the ride attacks you want to use; which I think removes a lot of the skill required in the previous games. The best part of the gameplay in my opinion is definitely the exploration. The environments are the widest areas you can explore; and the addition of wall climbing makes traversing these worlds a lot more fun than usual, and I think the gameplay does a lot of heavy lifting to make the game enjoyable because… well… I don’t like the story. Kingdom Hearts 1&2 had its fair share of filler now and again, and I don’t think it’s an inherently bad thing to have filler; the Ace Attorney games tend to have loads of filler and I think those games are a blast. But I also think you should find the time to progress the story alongside the filler to find a balance, which is something the first two games understood. But with the exception of the Big Hero 6 world, none of the worlds actually move the story along, and while I still got enjoyment out of a few of them; namely the Toy Story and Monsters Inc worlds (I was a Pixar kid what can I say) even those ones don’t do much to progress the story. It does progress the story in between those worlds; mostly consisting of cutscenes that start with Sora just kinda chilling in the Gummi Ship and Donald shouts at him for not doing anything; and they get a call from Chip and Dale regarding Riku and Mickey or the scientists who I forgot the name of. This makes up a good portion of the cutscenes, take a shot every time someone says “The Power of Waking” And I’m going to be completely honest; I’m a Kingdom Hearts Larper, because I only played 1&2, I didn’t play Dream Drop Distance or 358 days or Rechain of Memories or Any of the other games that weren't 1 or 2, so I found a lot of the finer details of the story a lot to swallow. But in my defense; Why would you market this game as the third installment if you have to play more than two games to understand what the hell is going on? (Also, for those who want my brief thoughts on the 7 Disney Worlds; The Frozen and Pirates of The Caribbean worlds are absolute slogs to play through where you don’t even get to contribute to the main story. The Frozen one forces you to fall down the same mountain over and over again, and The Caribbean has a mission where you have to collect 300 crabs; it’s just as fun as it sounds. The Tangled world is fine, but I wish it took more creative liberties rather than retell the story of the movie one to one. The Hercules world is a good introduction; I think having us return to a world that Kingdom Hearts fans would already be naturally adjusted to is a nice way to start the game. The Toy Story world is bizarre, but I genuinely enjoy it. It starts off with an advert for the fictional game; Verum Rex. It was a bizarre experience and for some reason it gave me similar vibes to Tenna and Flowery’s introduction with how bizarre and out of place it is. (You can make everything about Deltarune if you’re autistic enough) The plot isn’t connected to any of the Toy Story movies, and I think I appreciate it more for that. Toy Story was a huge part of my childhood though, so I might be biased. I like the first person shooter segments. The Monster’s Inc world is pretty fun. It’s got some fun gameplay, and I enjoy Mike and Sully as characters, and the plot is reminiscent of the plot of the movie; while taking creative liberties, which makes me appreciate it a lot more than I would’ve if it was just the plot of the movie. The Big Hero 6 world is the best world in the game. It’s the best paced, It’s fun to explore; and it tells an original story that acts as a continuation of the movie; featuring the return of the original Baymax model as a darker version of the regular Baymax; which plays into the overarching story by having Riku’s replica be the one to summon him. This all comes into the final act of this game; The Keyblade Graveyard; and this is almost the best part of the game outside of one thing. It’s where the actual story of the game comes to a head and acts as a farewell to Organization 13. (I think) It gives every major character something to do. It feels bizarre after experiencing a story mostly consisting of nothing, but it’s the little things that count. But there is one major problem with this finale however; it kills off a major character; and without directly spoiling which character it is; killing off THIS CHARACTER SPECIFICALLY feels so counter to the themes of the Kingdom Hearts franchise as a whole; which made their death take me out of the story completely. I don’t know where this game; that has gone back and forth from complete filler to the most incomprehensible lore dumps ever gets the gull to kill off one of its major characters, but I frankly don’t respect it. It feels like an incredibly cheap way to make the story more “impactful”, but it was not earned. It feels like it was chucked in there at the last minute to make the game more dramatic; but it just makes the entire game feel so much lamer. We didn’t even spend enough time with this character to make the death feel natural at the very least. Overall, I think the gameplay is great, but the story is incredibly lacking. It’s the weakest game in the trilogy, and I’m going to give Kingdom Hearts 3 a 7/10. I swear to God if Goofy and Donald bring up recipes one more time I’m going to lose it. In loving memory of Hayden Panettiere. (1989-2026) May she rest easily.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Aug 13 → 9.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

¿Por qué hay tantas atracciones y tan poco Riku?
Kingdom Hearts III is overall an excellent game and puts a good end to the Seeker and Darkness Saga. The story of Kingdom Hearts can be hard to follow, especially with it being spread between many games. The game provides you with short cutscenes in the options to catch up with most of the big events which took place so you aren't completely lost (even though you probably wil be to some extentl if you are invested in the story, but that's part of the charm of the series). If you have played 0.2 Birth By Sleep A Fragmentary Passage, the gameplay basically expands on that in a really well implemented way. Nostalgia for our old and unbalanced drive forms from KH2 could be felt but the new additions (switching keyblades midfight, formchanges, great magics etc...) compensate that with ease. The only addition I would recommend not using are attractions, they can be fun but they are so strong that it is not funny to me aside from the first couple of uses. Playing the DLC episode is mandatory, otherwise the end can be quite confusing and feel "rushed". The game appeals to all kinds of audience and players so feel free to play it the way you see fit, for regular gamers and long-time fans. I highly recommend to play in high difficulty modes, Proud or Critical, like I do for all games in the series. It is quite known (and a common meme) that Kingdom Hearts players just mash X to win with the occasional heal and playing in a higher difficulty will force you to actually be involved with the gameplay which is rich and has a lot of depth. That being said, if the player is a child or someone that is not really proficient with action RPGs, there is no shame in going for an easier experience just to go through the story at your pace. The DLC also allows you to enable advantage codes to further help you, even in the highest difficulties so you can never be stuck if you really don't want to. Kingdom Hearts IV has been getting some news recently and this game is teasing it really well with its secret endings. I highly recommend trying it out. If you've never played a Kingdom Hearts game before, please at least go through the other compilations available on Steam. The other games have aged well and you will have a much better time with the story this way. All of that being said, have fun, regardless of whether you are a casual enjoyer of the series or a fan of level 1 critical mode runs and may your heart be your guiding key.
this review wont go away till i review it so hear it is buy it and if u cant your broke just say it its ok wait for it to on sale and if its still to much ouch lol
JOGO PERFEITO
Returned to this game to give it a fair shake after a number of years since last playing it. I remembered being unhappy, but I didnt remember why. Now I do. First off, the main game is incredibly easy, and bombards you with broken abilities for simply breathing. Attractions are busted for no reason, and appear every other second. I got so tired of them, I skipped using them for most of my playthrough. But even outside of that, team attacks, grand magic, formchange finish commands, shotlocks, you obliterate everything you touch with little to no effort in the main game. I didnt feel like I was building Sora up, it felt like he had the same abilities from start to finish, just...flashier, I guess. Second, combat is incredibly floaty. It doesn't have the snap to it that KH2 did, even comparing the air combos. I felt like I barely did anything on the ground. Third, the dlc. While there are things that add to the story in the dlc, there's a massive caveat I'll get to in a moment. But the data fights in this game are not good at all. In KH2, I could actively feel my progress in understanding a fight. I understood the gimmicks, and learned how to play around them. Yes, reflect is cheap in KH2, but there was expression and puzzle solving in whether block, reflect, or roll was best. In KH3, you sit there blocking for 45 seconds straight, hoping you're ALLOWED to hit back once in a blue moon. Not to mention their pushing of air-stepping. The spectacle seemed to be their only focus when designing these. Fourth, the story is an absolute mess. The dlc gives you a few more things to chew on and some fun moments, but largely speaking, this feels like a bad fanfiction. Dont get me wrong, the other games had their moments, but dialogue feels stiff, like they're waiting for the laugh track to play after every line. The power of waking is STILL barely explained, loose ends feel like they are completely ignored in favor of "BUT LOOK, FRIENDSHIP", and villains like Ansem and Xemnas feel robbed of what made them intimidating in the first place. Not to mention the final boss feels sub-par compared to the other games in the franchise. All in all, the game looks great, and there are some genuinely good moments, like in the Toy Story world, or Monstropolis. But KH3 feels like it wanted two different audiences, and only hit one of them, but just barely. It's not a bad sequel, just a misguided one. It forgot where it came from, why people liked the data fights, and above all, forgot it's own story. I cannot recommend this for anyone other than people wanting a casual playthrough, or to see the finale of the first story arc.
