Easily one of my favorite little games. So many different things can happen, So many weird little interactions and having a Trickster on the clan ring gives you EVEN MORE weird interactions you can explore. Just build up your resources and be generous with your trained people (the named ones). Never forget no matter how powerful your person is, they will get old and die anyway so its better to let them take risks than to keep them safer. in general. Also can you imagine burying your grandpa just to have his rotting corpse come back and demand to be fed and watered at your table? Yeah good luck with that one. Or the snakes.

King of Dragon Pass поражает разнообразием событий и тем, как твои решения влияют на настоящее и будущее племени. Атмосфера игры сильная: иллюстрации и музыка полностью погружают в сказочный мир. Однако игра очень времязатратная, почти нет экшна, многое зависит от рандома, и спустя некоторое время процесс становится монотонным. Повествование не ведёт к логичному завершению истории, а после того как ты становишься королём, игра становится ещё более монотонной. Нет русского языка, что ещё сильнее усложняет чтение текста. Игра не для любителей чёткой структуры с началом и концом, а для тех, кто готов терпеливо погружаться в медленное повествование. В целом, игра глубокая и атмосферная, но требует терпения и интереса к тексту, а не к динамичному геймплею.

Life in Dragon Pass is surrounded by different kind of idiots, maniacs, lunatics, chaotic bastards, violent pygmis etc. So it is pain in the ass and in that way not too unrealistic. In game you many times feel lack of "moves" as you can act twice per season. Activity is mostly how many cows you trade, give or sacrifice and will ♥♥♥♥ who - no too unrealistic either. World is grim and harsh but it got it´s happy times and it feels magical in many ways. So let´s bang your head to the wall with villagefull of humans.
A nice experience leading a pre-state sedentary clan. A pity we don't have more highly narrative strategy game nowaday. The genre was popular in the 90s.
This is a great game to use as a chat theme for ai. You can discuss tactics, get more insight from some hidden mechanics and it feels really supporting to the current save state (or shedding light to the last tribe/clan destroying outcome).
Constant steam deck crashes when trying to select portraits of advisors. I can definitely see why the game is not listed as supported. Cool concept and I'd love to relive playing it like on older computers, but doesn't work right now as it stands.
