About
After being shoved off a station platform by an unknown assailant, the protagonist awakens lost in a vast terminal known as “Kind () Station.” Relying on the myriad guidance signs scattered throughout the complex—and occasionally reflecting on fragments of their own past—they press onward toward a transfer to the Rinkama Line…
“Kind () Station” is a maze game built around the dual nature of station signage design—its “helpfulness” and its “confusing” qualities. This marks the second title from game & prototype studio Studio Hi.
Approximately 60 – 120 minutes
At any of the digital signage terminals scattered throughout Kind () Station, you can adjust the following settings:
Camera Shake
Camera Controls (Sensitivity, Normal / Reverse)
Field of View
Motion Blur
Volume
Quality (Performance Load)
All settings can be changed immediately after the opening sequence.
If you’re prone to 3D motion sickness, we recommend setting Camera Shake and Motion Blur to 0, and using a wider Field of View.
If you’re experiencing performance slowdowns, try setting Quality to 2. (You can also set it to 0–1, but doing so significantly reduces render lighting quality and may make some sections difficult to play.)
Press and hold the ESC key twice to exit the game.
Press and hold the 0 key twice for at least 10 seconds to reset your save data.
Streaming is welcome! For details, please refer to the guidelines on the official Studio Hi website.

Brief and emotional, puzzles were just the right level of challenging for a very casual puzzle enjoyer like me who does okay with say Myst but not The Witness for example. Easy to loop through when you mess up and figure it out. A lot more emotional than I thought it was going to be, and I absolutely love the "two" endings back to back, it really feels like it pays off! Cons: the UI menu is fine once you find it, but the graphics options seem to be "chug your average computer with jank" or "the screen is basically black" being 50/50. Wish there was one more option as my older laptop did struggle a little and would freeze up every now and then! Otherwise a beautiful short story worth diving into.
Cool puzzle game, very "Antichamber" esque gameplay where solutions to puzzles are more abstract than you'd think. "Kind () Station" is set in an empty, dream-like Japanese train station, where the player must find their way to the Wakarima line platform. Through environmental story telling, the game explores how online interactions shape individuals, especially those of notoriety, in the 21st century, for better or worse. Performance is a bit jittery at times; you may experience some lag spikes later in the experience. As this comes from a Japanese studio, the translation can come across slightly stilted at times; but in my opinion the translation _is_ very well done, so if you are fluent in English, you will be completely fine to finish this game. If you're looking for a low-stress, environmental story-telling 'walking simulator' puzzle game, then I think this is worth the price of admission. Interested to see what XOR studio releases next!
Pretty cool use of liminal spaces and environmental storytelling.
