About
After asking too many murder-related questions online (for your book), you get an invite to a... serial killer chatroom?!
What the...?
Killer Chat! Original Edition brings the award-winning satirical serial killer dating chatsim you know and love to Steam (Public Favorite & Honorable Mention, Spooktober Jam 2024). Play as a (customisable!) writer as you pretend to be a serial killer, get inspiration for your book, fall in love and try not to call the cops through a whirlwind six months with your murderous beau of choice. Who knows? You might find your happily ever after... or headline the news as a gruesomely lovesick corpse. It's honestly up to you.
A reporter by day, an aspiring writer by night: you've been asking all the important questions on the dark web.
Like, how do you bury a body? How do you kill someone with a crowbar with the right angle to cause blunt-force trauma? What's the best way to hide from law enforcement?
If you're to write a good crime book, this is how you'll do it.
Suddenly, ERROR! UNKNOWN invites you to a server... with a warning. "don't be so obvious smh You're Gonna Get Caught".
...
It's a serial killer chatroom.
You may be slightly screwed.
Play as a (fully customisable!) character as you…
Desperately pretend to be a serial killer… just like the other girls serial killers. So they don't kick you out. Or kill you. Oh god, they might kill you.
Get to know some killers. You might as well scope this out, right? No better chance to gather accurate first-hand data for your book.
Huh, they're actually kind of nice?
Oh shit, he's hot. And she's hot.
Maybe you can… date… some murderers? What even is your life.

Customisable MC! (Name, username, personality, gender, face, body, clothing, accessories, what kind of pseudo serial killer you are...)
Four serial killers love interests across all genders (male, female, non-binary)...
Story-rich, choice-based branching towards 8 unique endings.
Make voice and video calls to the server's serial killers, listen to voice messages, get them to accept your friend requests, and more!

Write your own status, biography, and messages in chat!

Four illustrated CG's.
Custom-made OST and sound effects.
A playtime of approx. 2-3 hours per route, 9-12 hours for all routes.
There will be many more features, routes, storylines, and DLCs exclusive to the Expanded Edition of Killer Chat!, which you may wishlist on Steam now!
Death, murder, references to abuse, and serial killers... but you knew that.

(An arsonist, a slasher out of the '90's, a surfer who trips into killing, a lonely hearts poisoner ... you'll have to play the game, won't'cha?)

AWESOME freaking game!!!!1 i just finished my first playthrough on misaki's route (i love them sm) and i had a blast. theres so many achievements i dunno how i would ever possibly get them all, but i just love how theres so many ending options! MY ONLY CRITIQUE is that the dlc achievements are combnied with the og edition ones.... i wont be able to 100% the game without getting the dlc </3 but other than that i really like the story and art, and how many choices u can make : DD
He's right: I am Obsessed. It's dark, it's edgy and it's so perfectly satirical that its moments of clarity hit like a truck. From the Visual Novel perspective it's extremely immersive, and very well crafted - and from the story and character side I got attached scarily quickly. I love me some horror-romance, and KC is definitely up there among the greats. (I need Ronin. Abysmally down bad. I want the Discord mod.)

Are you the kind of person who has ever felt the urge to date a murderous, satanic obsessed twinky dweeb who moderates a glorified discord server on the dark web? Or, maybe since watching Dexter you've been desiring a submissive vigilante dripping with enough angst to drown in? Perhaps your a real weirdo whose always wanted to date genderbent Jeff Dhamer as a beauty youtuber..? If any of that sounds up your alley this game may be for you! Also I am concerned about your taste.
I played this a while ago because of the hype behind it but it really doesn't live up to any of it. The voice acting makes me recoil every time a character opens their mouth and the story is just.. odd? The game is free, play it if you want, but maybe don't set your expectations very high, it's very edgy. I've only played one of Ronin's route on a blind playthrough but tbh the voice acting was bad enough that I uninstalled right after. If you like the characters then just look at fan made stuff, probably better than the base game (no hate to any VA's or developers !! )
Is it edgy? Like hell. Was that the point? YES. It won't be for everyone, sure, but it 𝘪𝘴 enjoyable and actually funny. I'm into true crime so I was especially amused.
The premise was very interesting and I loved the artstyle. The format was pretty too and I usually like chatsims, but not this one. The pace was off, but as far as I know the game itself was rushed so it makes sense. The biggest issues for me were the corny dialogue and the voice acting of some of the characters. Ronin's voice, specifically, was unbearable and I didn't like Vince's and V's either, to the point I considered playing the game on mute. The rest of the cast sounded good but it was overall cringey.
9.9/10 game i completely love the game it has a great story great characters really good all around just sadly not a 10/10 for the sole reason i cant bang the hot killers v is begging to be digged down <3
Went into it expecting a dating sim came out of it realising im sick of masking and pretending im someone im not, i love you ronin !
Honestly a really creative and well put together game in general. I love the creativity and is awesome when you have nothing else better to do (not to mention the great voice acting), and need to waste a little time, or find a fun little visual styled game.
It's very good, just like other dating sim games and you can play it more than once without getting bored of it
