Why have I bought this game? Not gonna lie I bought it in a rush thinking it was an actual horror. Am I dissapointed? Absolutely not. Despite visual novels not being my type of game, this one is adorable to the brim. Despite being short (at least for my standards) it completely stole my heart, and would reccomend to anyone who loves wholesome visual novels like this one :3
charming and fun game, but if you are going into this thinking it will be anything like sunny day jack or that it will be very nsfw, then just don't! not a yandere game nor a smut game, just a game about romancing an adorable dead loser !!

Very cute little game, with tons of heart! Played the demo on a whim and the art + voice acting caught my interest, so I said what the heck, why not. I was able to get all endings and view the *extra* scene within about two hours. Even if it was quite a bit short, to me it felt well worth the small price. As other reviews have said, don't come in here expecting a full nsfw hornfest or anything like that. It truly is just choosing between innocently romancing one of two adorably silly goofy but cute boys
or both if you're a rizzler like me on the first try
. The only nsfw you'll see is the short scene after all endings are achieved, which you will be notified about and will have to navigate to a separate menu for (so, basically, it is entirely optional and you will NOT see it automatically, which is great for those interested only in the innocent stuff and not H-scenes). It was only with one of the guys though, and I would have really loved the option to see a scene like that with the other love interest as well. Or maybe even both? Hehe. Story-wise, it's definitely bite-sized, and although there exists some depth and enough to tie everything together for a smaller-scale story, I would have still really loved to see more exploration of each character, like their dynamics and backgrounds, and more about Elias' past. However, for the story itself in this game, extra would have probably been technically unnecessary -- I just really found myself craving more!! Also, I like how inclusive the game felt, as you are not locked into strictly "male or female" and can be gender-neutral (they/them). Taylor WILL call you buddy and you WILL like it hahaha. As for the endings/paths, for the most part they felt pretty cohesive and I could understand why each route lead to where they do and the game does a decent job of "implying" routes based on the first choice that matters for your path (the flowers). Past that though, it can feel a bit uncertain as to whether you'll be truthful and choose Elias, or if you'll end up with a different route. I would say my only criticism for the paths is that to me, the route where
you end up with both of the fellas
felt a bit rushed? I would have liked to see a bit more development leading to that situation but I guess I can give it a bit of a pass seeing as how there are clearly strong implications that
Taylor is a ghostf*cker lol
. Overall, I very much enjoyed my time with this game and would recommend it to others craving a small and fun little dating sim that's slightly out of the ordinary. Looking forward to seeing more from this dev! :)
This is one of my favorite games of all time! I can't stop coming back to it! I love Elias!!! :)
The Groom of Gallagher Mansion is a good visual novel in which it manages to tread between paranormal comedy and a tragedy. The artstyle is cartoony yet the two main love interests are both attractive with a few quirks. One is a dead hopeless romantic while the other is an alive but extremely dorky occult enthusiast. They also are voice acted too to add another layer of immersion. The game offers dialogue choices which determines the kind of ending that you'll be getting. Don't worry about getting an incredibly depressing ending, most of them are light-hearted and optimistic. Also, you can earn an adult scene if you manage to get all everything which is a nice bonus. So yeah, I think it's a decent game.
Very fun to plsy
VICTORIAN GHOST 10/10 SMASH
love when my ghost arrives with fat titties.... also i need taylor's ♥♥♥♥♥ ass to be GONE. i dont want his occult ass at ALL !!
I find the story to be both cute and intriguing with the romance and mystery combing into a lovely piece of art that will not take forever for you to finish. It is also nice with the addition of the accessible audio and visual settings that makes this game more open to all kinds of disabled people, to find them look for the options under "preferences". It is open for people who identify as a man, woman, or something in between making this game very inclusive and personally more enjoyable than other dating sim games. The art is lovely with diversity not only in the backgrounds, the facial expressions are an adorable cherry on top of this wonderful wedding cake. I only had one error code during my entire run which was easy enough to ignore and get back on track.
