The game is great overall. I loved the experience. There is a lot of stuff missing, like some characters still using the old portraits, a full OST gallery, some cutscenes that should have played instead of being locked to an NPC, a better guide, and especially an English translation. I am pretty sure that if it had an English translation, the game would have reached a much wider audience. As I said, the game is great overall. I loved the story, the characters, with Will being my favorite, the gameplay, and the soundtrack.

The game has been released in 2020, and has been advertised as having a full english version since 2022, however the Localization has definitely not been finished. The base premise sounds promising, but one cannot follow the whole story without knowing Chinese. The dash animation is clunky, and there's no cue to show when you get it back. Combat is passable, but I know I left the game off before integrating all its mechanics. It is thus possible I missed the "good bits". I cannot recommend this game in its state, and nothing leads me to believe the game will actually be finished. I completed the first two stages, the first boss was a visual pain, the second one was good albeit predictable in its pathing / bullet hell.

Really good game

ちょっと優しめのデッドセルズ的アクションゲーム。 ボス戦が弾幕激しめの攻撃をいかに搔い潜って撃破するか、という点は面白い。 操作性は良好。ひととおりクリアまでしたが、理不尽な当たり判定は特になかったと思う。 日本語は途中で翻訳が断念されており、実質ないものと思った方がよい。 アクションゲームにしては会話パートが長いし、多すぎるのが気になる。 拠点に戻った時、ステージ突入前、突入後、ボス戦前、ボス戦後、と隙あらば会話が挟まる。 世界観にはまれる人ならおすすめできるが、前述の通り日本語は途中までだし、機械翻訳くさいので…。 操作キャラや敵キャラもすべてデフォルメで描かれているのはかわいらしい。 特定のソウルジェム取得時のみ見れる主人公のグラフィックもあったりして凝っている。 ただ、立ち絵がややケモホモくさいのは人を選ぶかも（ゲーム内容的にそういう要素はない）。 結論として、アクションゲーム部分は良好だが、 会話パートの頻度と長さ（と日本語未対応）が最大のネック。 日本語しかわからないならプレイはおすすめできない。 ちなみに、雑魚敵のほとんどは上への攻撃手段がないので Impactのルーンを設定して踏んづけるだけで倒せたりする。

its a 'buy it on sale' recommendation , basically buy this game if you either want to support a smaller and more obscure dev team and/or if you've played ALL of the other big-name metroidvania/roguelites and want a change of pace the game is 'mostly' translated to english but there are still quite a few chunks of mandarin chinese , bonus tho if you are trying to learn either language i guess XD the game itself is a mix between rogue legacy and a metroidvania , it reminds me a lot of the castlevania portraits of ruin ; is this game as good as dead cells or hollow knight or valdis story or nine sols ? imho no it is not , while it is clear that these devs have put a lot of work into this title , its clearly from a smaller and less experienced team ; i do like the bullet hell aspect of the boss fights at least , it feels like there are higher stakes in those fights
