Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.5/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Unfortunately even though this game does have stunning hand-drawn landscapes, nice music and gorgeous narration in Icelandic, the levels are excruciatingly tedious, empty and huge, while the mechanics are boring and don't change throughout the game. No particular storyline, worldbuilding or character development to talk about either. The bosses are the only thing that breaks the snail pace of the game, but even those are a pain to defeat with the two attack types you have. After defeating one boss and completing two levels, I couldn't bring myself to continue playing - just a thought of having to bore through another three enormous empty levels made me uninstall the game. Real shame, because from the description and screenshots it really looked like my kind of game.
Devs spent so much time making the game look pretty, they forgot to make it fun to play. So many devs' hubris is that they make a giant overworld that is beautiful and colorful, and they just sit there staring at what they made and drooling over how great they are for having made such a pretty world. Then when it comes to actually making a fun game they fail. If your idea of fun is to slowly (and I mean sloooowly) walk around a giant map, and slooooowly lift your weapon into the air to hit things, then wow, how can you enjoy being bored so much? I'm starting to see a pattern with games that are "hand drawn" and the level of boredom one experiences while playing the game.

Beautiful art, fitting music and atmosphere, but due to rather boring gameplay (mostly walking and light attacking) not as enjoyable as it could be. Heavy attack feels useless. Some later obtained powers are strong but extremely limited, thus not adding much fun. I assume the developer aimed at a slow pacing, which makes sense somehow, but it is not realized in an engaging way. The amazing art design on the bosses (which are the most interesting part of the game), is a flaw at the same time, because it is not always clear where the collision and hit boxes are.

Jotun: Valhalla Edition is an epic adventure game that transports players to a mystical world filled with Norse mythology and engaging gameplay. The game follows Thora, a Viking warrior who must prove her worthiness to the gods by defeating powerful Titans and exploring nine different worlds. One of the most noteworthy aspects of Jotun: Valhalla Edition is its stunning hand-drawn visuals. Every aspect of the game's art style is breathtaking, from the detailed character designs to the intricate backgrounds that bring each world to life. The game also features a fantastic soundtrack, which enhances the already immersive atmosphere. The gameplay is challenging but rewarding, as players must navigate dangerous environments, overcome formidable bosses, and solve puzzles to progress through the story. The difficulty level keeps the game engaging while providing a sense of accomplishment when players finally triumph over a challenging encounter. One minor drawback of Jotun: Valhalla Edition is its lack of replayability. Once players complete the game, there is not much incentive to return and play it again. However, the journey is well worth it for the first playthrough. Overall, Jotun: Valhalla Edition is an exceptional adventure game that offers breathtaking visuals, engaging gameplay, and a richly detailed world steeped in Norse mythology. It's a must-play for fans of the genre and a worthy addition to any gamer's library.
It's a great game but is too short, I completed it in 4 hours.
