Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Sep 3 → 6.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Load up your gun, Toxic Commando, and team up in a 4-player squad to send the Sludge God and its undead horde back to hell!
Gather a 4-player squad or jump in with fellow commandos online for pure co-op chaos. Revive fallen teammates, share ammo, cover each other's backs, and laugh through the madness. When infected swarm from every angle, teamwork isn't optional—it's survival.

Unleash hell with an arsenal of guns, grenades, and devastating powers as thousands of infected pour toward you in relentless waves. Powered by Saber's Swarm Engine (World War Z, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2), the horde never stops—and neither should your trigger finger.

Search for vehicles scattered across semi-open maps and tear through the wasteland. Each ride feels unique: some pack serious firepower or special abilities; others come with handy tools like winches. Find what fits your squad, then floor it through the hordes for that pure rush of power and satisfaction—nothing beats turning zombies into roadkill.

Toxic Commando is just a generic and, unfortunately, boring horde shooter. I do have 500 hours in Helldivers 2, so is not so much about the repetitive loop of the game, it's more about the way they implemented it. Also, the game's player base is mostly gone. Today's 24 hour peak was 900 players. (17,000 on release) What I don't like about the game: - The flow of the game is essentially the same. You do generic objectives and mow down zombies, but it gives you no thrill. More like a chore. - The zombies are heavily inspired from Left for Dead 2. You have the basic weak zombies that you farm all the time, the tank that charges you, the one that explodes, etc. They behave the same way they do in Left 4 Dead 2 and many other horde shooters. Feels uninspired, lazy and played out. - The story is bland, the characters are unlikeable. - The environment is just meh. - 40 euro is just way too much - It was marketed as If John Carpenter was heavily involved in the game, which is far from the truth. They just used the name for advertisement. What I like about the game: - You have a special ability, based on the class you chose. Feels satisfying to use it against the hordes and allows for some variety in gameplay. You can also level up your class and unlock new skills. But again that is not enough to compensate for the generally lackluster gameplay. - Hordes are huge
Might look generic on paper especially with the character designs but is actually a pretty solid horde game all around. Guns feel great, environments look incredible, exploration is rewarding, specials are well designed(except the puddles) classes and their trees are okay but could use more flavour, bots even after latest update are still Pepega. Get some friends and pick this up on sale if you like games of this genre. Latest patch also has been rather good even going as far as adding a new mechanic which in this case was the abilty to dash, greatly helped defining clear counterplay to certain specials including newer enemy types. Keep it up devs !
I really wish this game had a lot more replayability. All the stages are just super short. Even my enjoyment of the game was super short.
Toxic Commando hits a really nice sweet spot. You play on the same maps, but every run feels different because the points of interest change, the vehicles are randomized, and the side quests shift around. Compared to more linear games like Vermintide 2 or Left 4 Dead, you actually get to choose your own route instead of just being pushed down a corridor. I personally prefer this more open style a lot. The weapon handling is fantastic. The guns feel great, the sound design is excellent, and the modifications give you solid variety in how you play. It’s the kind of game that’s perfect for a relaxed evening with friends — pure co-op fun with a couple of beers. Just don’t go in expecting a strong story or a traditional campaign. The whole point of Toxic Commando is upgrading your classes and gear so you can push higher difficulties. That’s the real progression loop. Graphically the game looks mint, and the Havoc Engine still holds up really well, especially when it comes to physics. Overall, if you’re looking for a fun, replayable co-op shooter with good gunplay and a lot of freedom in how you approach each mission, Toxic Commando is an easy recommendation.
Games a generic zombie shooter and super repetitive 3/10 wish i didn't spend money on this trash
I wanted to talk about how Saber Interactives CEO came out gushing about using ai to make their games and replacing emlpoyees with it, which he did, but... This game is extremely mid, extremely boring, and was also probably heavily made with ai. Don't buy it. Even if you don't care about ai don't buy it. Go play Helldivers, or L4D2 for the millionth time. This game is not great.
I enjoyed it at the start but updates bring more bad then good. New vehicles, guns, and missions are fun. Even the battle pass I can accept if they minimize the fomo it could cause. But the weighting of the 3 currencies, bothersome grinding, AI that burn your mission resources, and updates like turning the medic class into an active determent to use; push me to quitting half of the missions I start. One such rage quits is why I'm writing this review! The fact that even while cooling down writing this I still choose to post this non-recommend is what i think best shows how I feel. If they had a mixed choice I would use that but with how updates are going as a whole; I'm left with more negative feelings then positive.
