Jalopy

Это максимально "вайбовая" игра: берешь чаек, садишься вечерком, включаешь свою музыку и катаешься по Европе с дядей (хотя можно и без него). По дороге будут случаться разные происшествия: от пробитого колеса до пустого бака. Поэтому советую всегда возить в багажнике канистру, ремкомплект и запасное колесо (а лучше три). Если купить багажник на крышу, места станет гораздо больше, и обязательно возьмите ящик инструментов. Машину можно и нужно улучшать: менять фары, ставить улучшенную приборную панель и так далее - всё узнаете по ходу. Также авто можно красить и обклеивать наклейками на свой вкус. Чтобы на всё это были деньги, по пути вам будут попадаться коробки с лутом: вином, сосисками и прочим добром. Важный совет по экономике: цены везде разные. Если в Венгрии сосиски стоят 0.5 марки, то в Болгарии они могут стоить уже 3 марки. С вином та же ситуация: в одном городе оно уйдет за 4, а в другом - за все 60. О багах: за всё время прохождения я встретил только один. На блокпосте я отдал документы, мне их не вернули и продолжали требовать. Поэтому будьте осторожны: не закрывайте окно сразу после того, как передали документы ( я думаю, что этот баг случился из-за этого) Локации разнообразные (генерируются рандомно): мне попадались пещеры, сломанные мосты, затопленные дороги и горки (горки порой бесят). Графика специфическая - игра не про картинку, но выглядит вполне приятно и играбельно. По скидке однозначно рекомендую брать. И маленький секрет: [spoiler] в отелях можно стучать в двери - с небольшим шансом вам могут просунуть снизу немного марок. [/spoiler]

En principio lo vi con malos ojos, no conecté mucho con él, nada de lo que lo que me mostraba me entusiasmaba, pero empecé a jugar más y más mejorar el coche, encontrar contrabando, y focalizarme en odiar al tío por no pagarse ni una puta noche en el hotel y ponerlo chulo al autito que ya llego 11mil km con él. La verdad no es un juego para nada desafiante es bello con esa estética tan reconocible, y su forma de contar la historia tras la caída del muro. Muy recomendado para absolutamente cualquier persona que quiera pasar una buena sesión de rodar en una carrera sin la exigencia de otros juego como Pacific Drive, My summer car o Long Drive pero con los toques mecánicos de esos juegos <3

Jalopy's concept is solid; a driving simulator based during the fall of the Eastern Bloc with an emphasis placed on maintaining and customizing your very own car- with detailed controls letting you fiddle with things like lights, wipers, and engine efficiency. The issue? I just didn't feel like it lived up to that in practice. To keep it short; Jalopy feels unpolished, and incomplete. Almost every part of that afformentioned vision doesn't exist without severe flaws. For one, the atmosphere is incredibly lacking. Graphics are very bland with no particularly interesting art-style and there was little reason to observe your surroundings other than trying not to crash. The soundscape is also pretty lackluster and I wish the car had some better audio feedback (a bit more 'vroom vroom') rather than the pretty static-sounding engine sounds. Along with that, the controls just didn't feel great to me. I played with mouse and keyboard and found that driving felt overly clumsy, and unsatisfying. Vehicle modification isn't any better, and it being as simple as 'click item with item to fix' is pretty dissapointing. Especially when there *are* interesting processes with steps like replacing tires or experimenting with gas/oil ratios. I might be wrong and the game eventually picks up, but my first hour and a bit of Jalopy left me feeling bored and somewhat frustrated. Still, Jalopy has a solid idea behind it and I can give it credit for having the base of those interesting mechanics. It just needs more work.

Man, I really wanted to like this game. Even though I'm not a car guy, I do have an affinity for games where you're driving a junky car that is in constant need of repairs (The Long Drive, for example), as it makes for a weirdly compelling gameplay experience. In comparison to The Long Drive, Jalopy has a greater focus on storytelling and atmosphere, both of which add a somber weight to your journey to Turkey. But it's just way too buggy for me to recommend, and with how finicky the save system is (you can only save your progress at motels), even the smallest of bugs can potentially softlock you. In the final stretch of the game, I couldn't leave the Jalopy because the doors bugged out and wouldn't open. So I had to restart and make peace with losing almost an hour's worth of progress. This, in combination with all the little bugs - which include not being able to pick up items at times, scenery fading in and out of existence, etc. - soured my initial positive opinion of the game. It's funny that The Long Drive (a buggy meme game) is somehow a more stable experience. Maybe pick it up on a steep discount if the premise interests you, [i]and[/i] if you're willing to put up with all the bugs.

[h1] Nice little sim about trip across Europe with minimalistic approach. Manage your resources, grab spare parts and try to make it in one piece. Game mostly about that old car and fixing it over and over again. Trade goods and avoid not to wreck vehicle because it breaks super easily. Difficulty is high. [/h1]

Bom… oq falar sobre? esse jogo é completamente nostálgico, falo por mim, quando era criança não tinha um computador bom, não sabia como instalar jogos, assisti o geta jogar, cazum e vários outros, mais na primeira oportunidade que este jogo entrou em promoção e agora que eu tenho a oportunidade de comprar, comprei, o jogo é incrível, é do jeito que os Youtubers da época jogaram, tem seus bugs é claro, mais o jogo continua sendo incrível. 10/10
