Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
it's the only game I play
Absolutely love the game. I think there is a lot of unfair criticisms of the game in the reviews. A lot of people say its not as good as the other JAs and stuff, I think its better with a pause and go system rather than turn based. I am aware this is a essentially a 3d remake of JA2 but I would rather play this and Crossfire over the originals or JA3...thats just me though. Start with some bad stuff; the voice acting is very caricature-esque and over the top, can be annoying but I'd imagine without it the characters would be quite dull and bland. Also the AI is...simple - yours and the enemy. The militia in towns are pretty useless, even if you upgrade them to level 5, you are better off having your own squad assisting in defence. There are other janky bits in the game but nothing that was deal breaking for me. I love the pause and go system, can't really explain why but I just feel it makes the game more dynamic and alive - rather than a turn based. You can construct and recruit the squads in whatever way you want to and load them out however you want. You can approach each mission whatever way you want. The difficulty curve is proportionate though challenging, just stay on top of your kit, mercs, squads and preparations and its manageable. On the strategic map you need to stay on top of your logistics as well. Move bulk loads of weapons, ammo and kit around the map with your squads and defend key locations throughout the campaign. To complete the main campaign and every side mission in the campaign, it took me 34 in-game Days, which I think is about 45-50 hours - not sure if that accounts for combat though so it may be longer than that. You can do it much much quicker than this but it was my first full run. The only way to play the game is with Tactical Mode on, don't be a noob and play with it off - it will spoil the whole game. Thoroughly recommend the game and it often comes up on sale for like £5 so it is definitely worth it at that price or normal price I would say.

Watered down remake of JA:2 missing a lot of the things that made it a strategy game.
