About
A brutal dieselpunk heavy-artillery simulator where you dominate the battlefield through a colossal war machine. Every lever, every dial, and every shot is under your control. High Command may send its orders, but the chain of command ends at your fingertips. They don't carry consequences. You do, Operator.
MAKE EVERY SHOT COUNT.
The teleprinters are calibrated to monitor local radio traffic. One delivers TOP-PRIORITY directives from High Command. The other relays direct calls from the frontline. Remember: every piece of information can determine the success of the entire operation.
Transform intelligence reports into a battle plan, get aerial photos that reveal the outcome of your actions, and watch your barrels reshape the landscape. The map isn't here just for measurements. It's also your window to the battlefield. Make no mistake. You can move the markers, but the scars remain.
Hammer the measurements, crank the numbers, and watch the ballistic calculator grind toward firing solutions. Drive the charges higher to blast shells across the horizon, or dial it back to arc them deliberately into enemy emplacements.
Beware: the machine may fail. You must not.
Breach bunkers with armor-piercing rounds, screen friendly withdrawals with smoke, and ████ █████████ with phosgene gas. It never happened if there are no witnesses. Every shell is forged for a single purpose, and whatever you choose will echo across the battlefield long after the smoke clears.
Haul the elevation wheel and watch the guns climb under your command. Match it with the exact propellant charge, or a surgical strike will turn into an avoidable mess. Precision is everything because neither flawless paperwork nor the finest propaganda will erase your guilt.
Drag the heavy lever and feel the entire structure shudder beneath your feet. A machine like IRON NEST doesn't spin on a whim. It takes time to swing that much iron with grace. Skilled Operators use that time to handle other tasks. After all, the coffee machine on your desk is there for a reason.
Pull the trigger, and let thousands of tons of machinery answer your call. Feel the turret recoil and watch the frontline crumble under the weight of steel. Once the dust settles, only silence remains, hanging heavy in the air, and the moment new orders arrive, it all begins again.

The campaign is set in alternate-history Spain in the late 1920s, on the brink of a civil war. In this timeline, the monarchy still holds power, and a republican uprising is spreading across the country.
IRON NEST is a two-person passion project from Nick Talmers (development) and Dominik Latos (propaganda). With 20+ years of combined experience and a lifelong obsession with artillery, interwar machinery, and dieselpunk, we're building the game we've wanted to play for years.
Nick has dreamed of IRON NEST for over a decade, and after meeting through developer-publisher collaborations, we decided it was time to bring this heavy spider-turret simulator, dripping with steel and power, to life.
The response has exceeded our wildest expectations. Thank you (truly) for every wishlist, message, and bit of support. It means even more because Heavy Turret Simulator is just the first step in the IRON NEST universe.

IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator is a first-person heavy-artillery experience that blends tactical problem-solving, complex war-machine management, and strategic decision-making into a genre of its own. The inspirations behind the game range from 1990s anime and Cannon Fodder to Nick’s passion for engineering and artillery. Also, we would like to acknowledge PVKK, which, in our view, helped shape the genre in which IRON NEST proudly stands.

ah yes, i can't believe they copied iron lung by placing you inside a metal vehicle, having a gridded map, and using iron in the name jokes aside, this game goes hard. every shell feels like nuclear bomb, and the steps to learn are quite intuitive and pretty clearly explained. i love the crunchy style with its shell loading animations, typewriter commands, and angle adjustments. to me, the atmosphere feels very much like papers please, a game which i love, and is something you might think as well with the ending newspaper slide, or even type of music. but anyway, very fun game! i'm excited for the future additional content and multiplayer update. sounds like a great idea to have pvp or coop :D
When you're bad at math just use a bigger shell 10/10

As it sits right now, can't recommend it. Was having fun in the demo and decided to buy the game from the demo. Unfortunately, there are missions that are just hard to complete as they give incomplete information to you and you can only hope to try to figure out what you are supposed to do. For instance on Seige of whatever, you get your location, 3 different spotters locations and 3 different targets to hit with information of coastal guns looking for you. You can aerial the coast, since the game says they are by the coast, to figure out where they are and hit them. But for the main objective, you are told the distance from each spotter to where 3 of the targets are at. Unfortunately you have well over 20KM of map to look at and a target can be 10KM from spotter 2 and that covers massive amounts of distance. But you also know that is 069 degrees from a different target but can only find that target if you know where another target is that you find from a different spotter. Yeah, how is anyone supposed to know where the targets are with so little information and you can use a spotter plane cause they are invisible somehow. There are also some missions that are "skirmish" aka you can play them but you can't beat the mission and you just need to accept it and then back out in order to get a card that can be used on other missions. It's one thing for a practice run, but absolutely dumb that they couldn't have made it a separate thing altogether instead of having them be in the same place as the mission board. There's supposedly cut scenes, but I only had it happen once or twice and it gives some info on your mission. Otherwise haven't seen them. Making coffee seems to have no other use than give a reason to stay at the bottom of the turret, but there really isn't much there other than the mission board and your bed that you lay on to complete a mission. Feels like this should've stayed an early access game a bit longer as it feels completely unfinished.
Great game, but too many gameplay impacting bugs. There was a mission where I didn't fire a single shot because the computer just automatically killed all the spawning boats on it's own. The last mission wouldn't end even though I finished all the objectives and I kept getting bombarded until I died. Has to restart the game. Many small bugs that don't affect the game, but is just jarring to experience. Really great mechanisms and sound design. But wait for bug fixes first. I'll come back to play again once it's polished.
