About
While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. Настоящий подарок любителям старой школы. Из старого Дюковского движка Build просто выжали по максимум. Классный и легко запоминающийся дизайн уровней. Очень интерактивное окружение (ходите и тыкайте Е). Куча отсылок к играм 90-х и другим культурным явлениям того же времени. Количество секретов просто нереальное какое то, но мне кажется можно потерять "волну", если искать их все. Ну и конечно же МЯСО, сколько же здесь врагов на каждом уровне... В придирки могу лишь записать пару вещей: 1. На Core i3-2100 и HD 7750 игра, не смотря на старый движок, умудряется лагать в сложных сценах. Не знаю, либо дело в OpenGL ("красные" карты плохо работают в этом API), или движок перегружен и захлёбывается уже. 2. Очень скромные заставки в конце оригинального и доп. сюжетах. Всем любителям Duke3D, Blood и Shadow Warrior - посвещается.

Ion Fury no es solo un homenaje, es una clase magistral de como debe hacerse un buen FPS, tomando lo mejor de los 90 y adaptándolo a tiempos modernos sin perder el alma. Already beat this game on Xbox One and liked it so much that I got more into PC gaming just to play retro shooters just like Ion Fury so I bought it again and it was just as good the second time if not better because I could now use mouse and keyboard. Flash forward a bit and now my library is full of retro shooters all thanks to Ion Fury. (Plus Aftershock was a a great cherry on top.) Big recommend if you like boomer shooters or just retro styled shooters. It's also mountains better than Phantom Fury which is a sequel in name only and lacks the heart, soul, and superb level design that made Ion Fury a modern cult classic. Give this one a try but don't feel too bad for looking up secrets.
Quem dera se a 3D Realms tivesse esse profissionalismo e zelo todo em todos os seus projetos. • Não vi um bug sequer; • Roda 100% liso em qualquer PC de firma debutante; • A variedade de inimigos é OK, com certeza melhor que os clássicos da Build; • As armas são perfeitamente balanceadas, dá pra jogar bem com qualquer uma; • Os mapas são belíssimos, o nível de detalhe põe muito jogo atual no chinelo (embora meio que perdem a coesão já no 1º episódio, que começa em uma cidade de carros voadores (a la 5º Elemento), e termina com a mesma vibe dos do Duke Nukem (levemente cyberpunk)). • As personagens relevantes são meio sem graça, o DLC dá um pouco mais de lore, mas não é nada demais; • Achar todos os segredos sem um guia é muito improvável. Tem uns que são muito complicados de se achar; • O chefão final é muito sem graça (só dá pra usar uma arma nele, praticamente).

This is an awesome boomer shooter, and cool part is that this uses the ever legendary build engine by Ken Silverman utilizing modern technology old computers didn't have before to make stellar levels that feel rich and jam packed with tons of epic shooting and secret hunting, Ion Fury feels epic and becomes my number one for FPS gaming as a whole, nothing could topple this masterpiece, not even great titans like DOOM or the innovative Quake! - Graphics? Got the build engine charm with cool modern rendering that is eye candy for those retro gamers out there! - Gameplay? Feels superb with the great shooting arenas along with the fantastic arsenal that feels punchy, raw, and bloody, along with the smooth movement both for keyboard and mouse and on controller too! - Story? . . . C'mon, you know what kind of game this is, they set up a basic plot and you hunt down the antagonist, but the best part of this story is the badass queen herself Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison and her quippy one-liners both during combat and not! - Art? A refreshing '90s cyberpunk art style that isn't lost, and in the big '26 it still rocks hard, lovely sprite-work and epic voxels along with gun designs that fits the look of the game seamlessly, cannot miss that beautiful neon city and flashy sci-fi landscape! - Sounds & Music? All created with love and of hardcore dedication by Jarkko Rotsten, give his OST for this game some love and show some love, the work made to make this game an audible eargasm is something I heavily respect! Also, the pricing of this game is a steal even at full price, honestly with the content of both the DLC and the base game, so go buy it! Long live the queen!
GREAT GAME! Video's don't even capture it really. They capture the feel of duke nukem3d the quips of shadow warrior an wildness of blood very well! I'm gonna blindly buy what ever games they make next IT'S THAT GOOD.
