For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Well-balanced, fun, nice to play in solo or with a team. Insurgency Sandstorm is my favourite shooter and its sad that not so many people play it. It's really so well-balanced for me. Great pacing, great variability. Favourite game mode: Ambush (no longer in main pool of game modes). The game is also CPU hungry for some reason.
muy buen shooter, realista, cumple, tiene diversas inovaciones que hacen que el juego no esté muerto, aunque, no hay una existencia o una comunidad muy grande, así que se esperan pocos jugadores y/o periodos largos de espera para encontrar partida
horrible visibility problems, can't see enemies unless they are literally 1 meter from me.
My Experience
Insurgency: Sandstorm is a hardcore shooter, taking place in a generic modern military conflict in an unidentified generic middle eastern country. Generic local security forces with western weapons and support fighting against generic local insurgent forces with eastern weapons and support in various locales. Y'know what? All this genericness is actually a good thing and refreshing for once. Still won't stop people from calling me a terrorist though lol Sandstorm easily shot up to become of my favorite shooters in terms of immersion and overall game feel. It's an immersive, hardcore shooter that's familiar enough for fans of the genre like me to easily pick up and get into. I wouldn't call it "realistic" because I believe "Immersive" and "Hardcore" are the right words to use here. It's overall a "casual" experience as the matches here are decently short-medium length, with most gamemodes being pretty standard shooter affairs. However the gameplay is definitely on par with most other hardcore shooters. I know some people might want me to skin me alive for saying this - I feel the gameplay is largely similar to COD in hardcore modes. But I mean that in the best way possible since it touches on that casual appeal of COD for me while also being a strong hardcore shooter in its own right.
Visuals/Sounds
Sandstorm has an overall excellent and immersive battlescape. It's nothing short of music to my ears hearing cracks as bullets fly past my ear and ears ringing as mortars hammer down on the building i'm taking cover in. The guns feel appropriately weighty and fairly punchy as well. One of the best parts though are the voicelines. They're all diegetic with no announcer whatsoever, it's always either your character or one of your teammates' that inform each other of or acknowledge the current situation. If you're close enough you'll hear them in-world, far enough and it'll be the radio. There's six voices in the game, three for each side but they absolutely give it their all in each line, with authentic and immersive delivery. Captured an objective? One guy will call out for everyone to check in and you'll hear them respond indivually and accurately. No commander on the team? Someone will ask where is he. Injured or suppressed observer will call for fire support in a very panicked manner. And when you're down to the last man standing, your character will panic and react appropriately. I will dare say the level of immersion from just the voices here is on par with Battlefield 1. Oh, and proximity chat is always enabled. So enjoy yelling at the enemy before you turn the corner and get shot like I did! There is gore but it's fairly limited in my experience. I did pop heads a couple time, and even saw my teammate's leg get shot off while running down the road to the next objective. It's a good motivator to stay in cover.
Gameplay
As a hardcore shooter, the gameplay is relatively slow in a few ways. Movement speed, strafing speed, reload speed, time to ADS, etc... Attachments and loadout choices can affect some but not all aspects. The TTK is also low, and the majority of guns in the game are still lethal even if they're of a lower caliber. You can still run around, but the game encourages you to slow down, and rewards you when you know when to rush and when to slow down. The low TTK makes it a game of target acquistion and gadget use. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. For all my tactical barbie doll enthusiasts, the game does feature a lot of customization options for both factions, and there's also an option you can toggle that allows you to set a unique appearance per faction for each map. (Which is something I really wish games like Battlefield would use for a while now) Earning currency to unlock some customization equipment is pretty much the only progression system the game has. On the actual, functional side of things there's a budget system where weapons, attachments and gear will cost supply points. Supply points and options differ based on what game mode you're playing. The game even lets you save different loadouts based on faction, day/night and game mode. Nothing aside from the classes is locked behind any sort of progression, so you can experiment with loadouts as you please straight from the start. There are a few classes, and honestly three of them are just Rifleman with extra steps -Advisor, Observer & Commander- but again, with the low TTK any gun good to kill with is all you need. There's a "soft asymmetry" going on with the factions. Both have distinct sets of weapons in PvP, but can use any weapon in COOP AFAIK. There's also little differences, like how Insurgents have two choices of free sidearms and get free gas masks, while Security still has to spend supply points to use them. But the biggest asymmetrical factor is the fire support. Both factions have explosive and smoke artillery/mortars, but Security get A-10 gun runs and helicopter support while insurgents get rocket barrages, chemical mortars and two types of lethal drones. When it comes to gamemodes, you have a healthy serving of PvP and PvE options of medium-sized matches, with under 30 players at most, 8 at least. Not as tight and competitive as something like Call of Duty, but not as big and expansive like Battlefield. The game is primarily geared towards Attack & Defend modes like Push, Frontline and Checkpoint which I really love and works well everything considered. It also uses a wave respawn system which makes every kill meaningful but also makes death risky enough to remind you to be careful and keep your guard up. Personally, Hardcore Checkpoint instantly joined my hall of fame right alongside modes from other shooters like Operations, Hardpoint and Escalation. Though I have to add while it is possible to play the game completely solo, with and against AI, I wouldn't recommend it for that. Especially as local play is pretty lacking in game modes and only supports Checkpoint and its Hardcore variant.
Conclusion
I absolutely do recommend Insurgency Sandstorm for any fans of shooters or hardcore/tactical/MilSim type shooters. It's really worth a try if you're into any of these things and with hundreds of hours combined over various shooters over the years I can vouch for it. Even though it's been 8 years since release, I still found good numbers of people to play with throughout the week in both PvP and COOP. It also goes on pretty good sales often so if you have any doubts you can pick it up during a sale. Was my favorite game for the longest time, cheaters have made it unplayable.
there's no option for a nuetral finger, because it seems to be a good game, i feel like such a noob, But it's because i keep losing connection to their servers as usual with these pvp co-op, online multiplayer games. these guys are too good, it's hard for me to kill 1. iv'e had Alot of issues with this game & have done what the guides said making changes i am Still losing connection though. i like how the game has Both their servers & Steams shown on my screen & if they're Green or Not. i can only enjoy playing this game if i don't keep getting disconnected. i just saw something ive never seen before in a war game, Holding a point& being fired on Dust Clouds of smoke Explosions, incredible.
Начался внешний прилёт артиллерии, все забежали внутрь здания... включая шaхида камикадзе кричащего АЛЛАХ АКБАР ... Рекомендую 👍
