This game is more than a mistery adventure game, Inspector Waffles has a beautiful story about friendship and learning to break down prejudices. The relationship between the protagonist and his partner Spotty develops along the main chapters as the two of them learn to be vulnerable with each other. Absolutely adorable. Bonus points as the usually dumb, naive character has more depth to him if you care to look further into the hints the game leaves you.
As a cat owner, I loved all of the inside jokes. It is an adorable mystery with lots of twists and turns. It can certainly be tough to find some of the hot spots with the pixel graphics, but it is worth the effort. The writing is excellent.

J'ai découvert l'Inspecteur avec l'épisode Early Days sur GameBoy Color que j'avais bien aprécié, et cet épisode n'est pas mal non plus. J'aime bien l'univers et l'ambiance de la licence. En résumé, un petit point & click fort sympathique qui m'a fait passer un bon moment. Je vais par contre devoir refaire une partie parce que j'ai raté 2 cartes de woolball... ^^' Au passage, le jeu fonctionne parfaitement sous Linux. :)
Classic point and click, very charming game, love the 2D art scenes, pixel art be a solid work too. Cheeky puns and little jokes, a classic plot full of twists and the main mystery/mastermind plot? Honestly hilarious, made me laugh out loud. I recommend for any fans of funny detective games like Darkside Detective and other similar ones out there.
A fun puzzle-adventure point-and-click! No timed sequences, a mix of pixel graphics for the interactable parts and the occasional hand-drawn animations to give it that certain sense of style. There are some bits that might be worth going back to replay to try and get 100% completion, but it's otherwise a linear game as far as I can tell, rather than a branching narrative. Do recommend!

I'm not usually a big fan of point-and-click games, but I found this one surprisingly engaging because it captures the quirky, offbeat vibes of Sam & Max. The puzzles were clever and entertaining, striking a nice balance between challenge and accessibility. The soundtrack was absolutely gorgeous, adding atmosphere and personality to every scene. What really stood out was the humor and writing—it felt witty without being forced, and the dialogue kept me invested in the characters. The art style on the cutscenes complemented the tone perfectly, with vibrant visuals that made exploration feel rewarding. Even though point-and-click isn’t my go-to genre, this game managed to pull me in with its charm.
打了两天，非常完美的小猫游戏！ 最后结局的地方文本量一次性给太多了，有点美中不足，虽然知道整个游戏的基调比较轻松，但是这个包饺子的部分感觉可以优化一下呢；还有个遗憾是卡牌没收集完也不能继续收集了，会强制交任务，收集癖会感觉很难受，希望可以像cloudpunk那样，就算主线结束也可以继续探索地图，直到把卡牌集齐！不然从头打的话很需要耐心。基本就是这两个缺点，但还是瑕不掩瑜，游戏体量绝对对得起价格，当然我是打折买的 从开头到结尾都打得很开心，有些词不认识也不影响游玩，还有很多有趣的笑话和梗，感觉文案的艺术造诣很深啊，可读性很强，像在看电影！涉及到各种毛茸茸的小俗语和词汇变体哈哈哈。 很开心还有衍生作品，猫猫狗狗太可爱了，公鸡神探的彩蛋也是双厨狂喜（其实我一部分是冲着这个来的，我也是公鸡神探的粉丝）以后会继续购入系列作品！支持！
I'd give this game a 5/10, so a borderline thumbs up. Nice story. Nice humour, although it did stretch the cat/dog puns a bit thin. I found the blocky, pixel graphics annoying and very static. Also, it's very slow to play as there's so much text to click through. I failed on a number of achievements, but I wouldn't be bothered to replay it.
Très bon Point 'n Click avec une histoire qui se tient et qui se déroule entre 6 et 8h ! Le pixel art est réussi, les cinématiques dessinées sont très agréables, la bande-son accompagne parfaitement le jeu, les dialogues savent être drôles et les énigmes sont intéressantes sans être totalement tordues comme pouvaient l'être celles des jeux d'antan. Le fait de noter des indices à réutiliser durant les phases d'interrogatoires est une super idée, et la quête secondaires des cartes est rigolote à faire (attention à ne pas en louper, d'un chapitre à l'autre vous ne pourrez plus les récupérer !) En bref, un super jeu pour qui cherche un petit jeu de détective avec une bonne ambiance et en plus à bas prix.
