Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Influent is a language learning game on Steam that teaches foreign language vocabulary through exploration and interaction. Instead of traditional learning methods, Influent places players inside a fully interactive 3D apartment where everyday objects can be clicked to reveal their names and pronunciation in the selected language. This approach helps language learners associate words with real world context by seeing objects in their natural environment making vocabulary easier to remember and more intuitive to recall and use in real life situations.
Designed for language learners, students, travelers, and polyglots alike, Influent focuses on building a strong foundation of practical vocabulary. Each word's pronunciation is voiced by native speakers, allowing players to hear accurate pronunciation while learning naturally. Influent supports multiple languages and allows players to learn at their own pace without time limits, pressure, or rigid lesson structures.
Influent turns language learning into an exploratory experience. Players can walk freely through a realistic apartment and interact with absolutely everything in the game, including furniture, household items, doors, drawers, and appliances. Every object is labeled in the chosen language, making it easy to connect vocabulary with familiar items from everyday life.
This method is especially effective for beginners and visual learners who want to learn vocabulary in context rather than memorizing word lists. Players can repeat audio as often as they like and explore words in any order, reinforcing learning through curiosity and repetition.
Every language in Influent includes native speaker audio for all vocabulary words. This ensures accurate pronunciation and helps learners develop better listening skills alongside vocabulary recognition. Hearing words spoken naturally is essential for building confidence in speaking and comprehension, especially for languages with unfamiliar sounds.
Influent supports a wide range of foreign languages, making it a versatile language learning game for multilingual learners. Players who are interested in more than one language can purchase additional DLC packs and then switch languages at any time, allowing them to study more than one language or compare vocabulary across languages.
This makes Influent useful for:
Students studying foreign languages
Travelers preparing for real world situations
Polyglots learning multiple languages
Gamers looking for an educational game with real life value
Influent is designed to be flexible and stress free. There are no forced lessons, no daily streaks, and no penalties for taking breaks. Players choose what to learn and when to learn it. This makes Influent suitable both as a primary vocabulary learning tool and as a supplement to traditional language study methods.
If you are looking for a language learning game on Steam, a vocabulary learning game with native audio, or an educational game for learning foreign languages, Influent offers a unique alternative to traditional study tools. By combining interactive 3D environments with authentic pronunciation and player driven learning, Influent helps make language learning more engaging, approachable, and most importantly, fun!
“By immersing the player in the target language, Influent closely models the way we naturally learn our native language. I suggest giving Influent a try.”

(Danish-learning version, bought during 50%-off sale) I'm a little disappointed that I missed the chance for a story mode. If the developer can arrange the translators/writers, I think revisiting the idea of a story mode would be an excellent way to introduce basic grammar by requiring the player to translate NPC dialogue, signs, and in-game letters and other texts in order for the main character to learn the information they need to progress the plot (Chants of Senaar did this well, I thought; I'd love to see something similar for real-world languages). It could be released as a paid DLC to keep it fun for players who enjoy the game as-is, but offer an option for story-loving players like myself. On to the game itself: it is essentially a flashcard game but in a more engaging format. It is pretty good for what it is and I strongly like the commitment to not using AI, but there are some things that would have made it more enjoyable for me: - Adjustable camera speed. As a player who struggles with fine motor control and uses a trackpad, I would have enjoyed the game more if I could slow the camera speed a bit; - All vocabulary unlocking at the same time. Especially with above-mentioned camera difficulty, the idea of going over everything multiple times felt like a daunting task; - Automatically adding words to the vocabulary list once their information page has been opened. While I probably won't open it back up again unless a story mode is added, I do recommend it for anyone interested in supplementing their language course with a fun way to memorize basic vocabulary.

Rather annoying way of "learning" new words by having to navigate around your apartment, trying to find everything and remembering its locations. The game tries to make learning more interactive, which hats off to the developer for trying, but unfortunately it manages to miss its mark.
This game is a helpful supplement for visual and active learners who want to work on vocabulary. There are no grammar or usage lessons, but you'll learn a few hundred common nouns and some associated verbs and adjectives. The story elements are a bit obnoxious, but you can mash through the cutscenes pretty quickly. The setting limits the vocab mainly to objects found around a single guy's apartment. No woman's clothing, personal identifiers, outdoor items, weather, etc.

Fajna motywacja do nauki słówek. Osiągnięcia zmotywowały mnie do przejścia wszystkich słówek po Włosku, co nie tylko było satysfakcjonujące, ale też praktyczne. Sama gra ma swoje wady i błędy, ale są niewielkie i ostatecznie jestem zadowolony ze spędzonego w grze czasu. Polecam jeśli nauka języka to dla Ciebie nie blokada
This language learning game is incredibly useful in learning and revising vocabulary. When I first got this game I was early in my language learning journey and struggled a little, I felt I couldn't get anything right, however on pausing and learning from textbooks I recognised words I learnt from playing this game so the struggle wasn't for nothing. I have recently returned and I have progressed further than I realised as I am finding it easy to recognise a chunk of words in the game (adjectives, verbs, nouns) both in the reading and listening challenges with high pass rate but also have tons of words I haven't yet come across. There are a few updates I believe would be beneficial: The first would be increasing the speed of the reverse vocal star challenge; when I recognise it is not the answer I need I go to the next diamond but I can't hear it until the previous one has finished playing, which makes that star challenge slow to complete in comparison to the others. I realise this may be language specific, in German the vocal speaks both the singular and plural of the noun you're learning, for example, so not everyone may experience this. It would be helpful if the audio plays when the diamond is clicked and cut the previous one short. The second would be adjectives in the vocal only star challenge; having to remember the adjective and which specific object it is linked to means getting marked incorrect incorrectly, for example red (rot) tied to apple (Der Apfel), interesting (interessant) tied to book (Das Buch), etc. When doing the vocal star challenge you don't get the noun in the voice so clicking on another red or interesting item won't be marked as correct. It would be nice that all red items would get a pass or perhaps pressing F will reveal the noun it is tied to, which I know some may perceive as giving the answer so it will have to rely on honesty to oneself (i.e. don't click the answer object if you forgot the meaning of the adjective). Finally, allow the user to filter out mastered words being included in the star challenges randomisation or priority mastered words last. I enjoy doing different point star challenges using 10 randomised words settings to mix up my revision, by including words already mastered it is slowing down marking other words as mastered. Overall this game delivers on what it says it does. It's not about learning grammar or sentences so if that is what you're looking for this is not it. It's frustrating to see other reviews marking the game down for that when it's not marketed as offering that. Most importantly, it's fun! It's got star ship mode, robot mode or 3rd person mode to explore in. There are 400+ words to learn in a household setting by opening up doors, drawers and looking under objects, which some might find limiting, but for a beginner this is the best setting to start in because you can then practice within your own household, making it suitable for kids and adults. It also opens up the potential for DLCs in new environments if the dev wishes to do so, such as in an office, school, medical office, shop, etc., but even if that doesn't happen learners can apply what they have learnt to give them confidence on expanding their vocab beyond the game. TL;DR For those wanting to learn new vocabulary in a household setting, this game delivers and it is fun. It gives a visual of the objects in the places you would usually find them and various methods to master the word. I would say it is best suited for beginners, however for intermediates it is also great for doing revision/refreshing by using the limitless mode. Controls are easy and relatively fast and responsive once you get going. The game runs smooth, doesn't crash, and includes a handy timer at the top for those that like to log their study time. Bonus content: The 'Hella Soft' cracked me up! (pun intended) And the 'Ribbit' posts. Rewarding learners that check out everything. 🤓 Edit to add: A friend bought me this game as a gift.
Excellent and enjoyable game for learning a new language!
I like how this provides decent visuals for the translations. Clicking on things in the environment really help explain them.
Yes the price is expensive for the definitive edition but price aside this game is good You won't learn a language solely from this game and the people who are complaining about this in other reviews either can't read or are severely naive because the description itself says there's 420 words in the game This game is for vocabulary only and does not have an emphasis on grammar asides from noun genders this is a good way to learn some words while not wanting to do hard textbook studying (which is in most cases, along with immersion, the most efficient way to learn a language.) It is effective in what it does - but don't expect fluency or more than vocabulary As somebody who has been learning German for 4 years and sits around b1/b2 level I can say the game would be good for beginners It's even useful to just ignite your interest in a language you're starting off in/unsure about For the 10£ I paid I'm happy
I've already learned more words thanks to this game than any other method I've tried, including books, online classes, other mobile apps, etc. Thank you for creating this!!!
