it's a fun little (pve only from what i've seen) RTS game where you mostly move troops around and destroy alien bases. It plays very simple, the buildings give passive abilities and the units are stronger/weaker against buildings, single target or multiple enemies. The simplicity is what made me 100% it
I've discovered this gem very recently, despite its age. It's an incredible game: it's brutally intense, it brillantly combines RTS and tower defence, it's got a large array of viable and different strategies and, with it, a large variety of enemy encounters that'll keep the game interesting. Except for the starting assault rifles, the weapons the Marines use are brutal and devastate the enemy in a satisfying manner, and so do the different turret options. The game has two downsides, however. First, the maps are usually small and simplistic, such that few of them stand out. Second, the game has somewhat low replayability, mostly because of the prominence of its tower defence side. At this price point, however, none of these matter, and I can only recommend this game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game for RST/defense enthusiasts, it is a bit basic and the micro controls are not that enjoyable but other than that its amazing. Usually you treasure your troops in these kinds of games but not here, they are expendable and its fine if they die. Upgradinging a unit means you can freely "unupgrade" it whenever you want seamlessly, this makes for very different tactics than other RTS.

Game gets much more boring later. I burned out on some kind of last stand random mission. There was no indication it would be indefinite mission where I have to eventually lose, so I had to run game on second screen and switch to it when once in 5 minutes a swarm spawned. In the end they got so strong from mutations that I lost. Meh, first 70% of the game are reasonably interesting but not ground breaking. Pick this game up on cheap for some limited RTS fun.
An excellent, smaller-scale RTS game. Each stage does a lot with a relatively small map. Choose you path to push in, fall back or backtrack at need, manage your often tight resource budget between static defenses, support facilities and more/upgraded marines. Combat reminds me a lot of Creeper World so it's in good company. Lots of push and pull against constant enemy pressure. The basic grubs are non-threat bullet bait but the enemy will soon mix it up with their own defensive/offensive upgrades that you must git gud to adapt to, you will eventually be punished if you cling to old tactics that served you well in the first 1/3 of the game. The story is ok but the gameplay is very much the highlight here. Sins, a few. I do not like how the camera can only be moved by pushing the mouse to the edge of the screen rather than WASD.. I was halfway into the campaign before I realized there was a lonely button in the top right where you could recruit extra marines (you always start with 5, you will rarely have more than 6 or 7 by the end of each map), I don't recall the tutorial mentioning it. All your new units/abilities/facilities are locked behind a post-battle currency exchange. I neglected to purchase the Sniper marine kit for a long time in favor of other stuff and severely regretted it. It proved absolutely necessary to advance on heavily fortified hives. I wonder if the unlocks should have been progress gated through the campaign instead. I think I got the 2 DLCs as part of a bundle, examining them now, I cannot imagine playing this game WITHOUT the tactical abilities they come with, those things were an absolute life line - to the degree that I would NOT recommend playing this game without the DLCs. That said, totally worth getting them in the bundle sale for a mere $20 total.
가벼운 전략게임으로 가성비가 몹시 훌륭하다 이 가격에 이 정도 분량이라니 안한글이지만 하는데 전혀 문제 없다
