Great game, already working through the 'New Game+' mode. I noticed 2 things though during the playthough. 1. The portal locations I don't believe were explained and their usage isn't consistent on every level (the direction you enter from determines the way you exit, usually). Secondly, For some reason I can't select various upgrades (like Armor) on the upgrade panel. Given it's a prerelease its awesome.
This is a very fun and polished game, just as the first Inferno was. I beat it on easy in about 5 hours, which opened up "New Game+". I have not tried that yet. There isn't much to say that wasn't already said in the other reviews. If you like twin-stick shooters, buy it.

Probably one of the most chilled out and relaxing shooters I have played. Challenging and enjoyable.
这么好的游戏为啥买的人这么少?
Joguei por muito tempo no meu celular e agora ter oportunidade de fazer o mesmo no PC é uma nostalgia. Trilha sonora perfeita e gameplay inesquecível.
Nice, enjoyable game. Excellent soundtrack. Ran well even on my potato of a laptop. Reminds me a bit of the original gauntlet games. I played through the whole thing using nothing but a keyboard, so a twin-stick is not necessary for enjoyment. My laptop is touchscreen, so I tried playing with it using the touch screen for aiming. (Very fun. I do recommend using a mouse, joystick, or trackpad for aiming.) I had a few bugs/glitches, mainly with the upgrade system, but they generally worked in my favor and did not interfere with my ability to enjoy the game. I played the game on moderate/casual difficulty, as I was looking for a time-consumer, not something to challenge me. However, I did test out harder difficulties, and found them not so difficult that I could not play, but not so easy that there was no challenge, especially on the later levels. *********If it shows that I haven't played this game much, that's because my laptop was almost never connected to wifi, and when it was, it was on a network which blocked steam.*********
I came across this game in the Overload forums, and damn am I glad that I did! It is fantastic. I just finished my first playthrough and loved every second of it. I wont speak too much on the mechanics of the game, because I think that the way it shows/teaches you is perfect, and I wont spoil that. The sound design is great. The way one person explained it in the forums for Overload was "fruity" and I think that fits pretty well. Once you hear it, you will understand. The music is great. I love the level design and the variation in enemies throughout. The pacing of the game felt great to me as well. The upgrade system works really well and is implemented perfectly here. This is hands down my favorite twin stick shooter. I am ashamed that it took me two years to find it. Well done dev's, well done. Going to start a New Game (+) now :).
It's been quite some time since I played the first Inferno on the Xbox 360 and very much loved it. Now this is a solid sequel with a lot of really nice ideas to elevate the game to a new level. I won't go into details here, watch a video and you pretty much know what you get. It's really solid and enjoyable, even though I have a feeling it is too easy and some more balancing on the weapons could have made a good game great. Some weapons (I played on the middle difficulty) just are too powerful and do remove a lot of the skill required. Also the whole screen with these is just a crazy firework that does in a few occasions lead to making a non reversible decision on exploring the levels ... which is avoidable frustration. At least it would have been nice if the damage would have been a wasted key and not a "you missed this part of the game" result. Also the guidance on how the upgrade system works is a bit weak - but you still figure everything out while you move forward. Given the price tag I can only say it's an instant buy if you like twinstick shooters with a bit of an exploration and level up twist.
