You are on your first solo ghost hunt, under the watchful instructions of Bear and Jen from the O.P.G paranormal team. Use real gadgets in a real location, a house investigated by the developers on the request of three different owners. It is a case worthy of a video game, so welcome to Incubus.

Игра прикольная, но всё же корона лучше
I understand that everyone has different tastes and opinions on games and game play but I found Incubus to be deeply satisfying. I have been playing Darkling Room games for many years and I remember that the very first Dark Fall game was one of the first gaming experiences I had that genuinely scared me (old school ghost story style). For me, it is similar to reading a new (or even older) Stephen King novel – experiencing something familiar with the knowledge that you are in good hands. I loved the starkness of the design of the interior of the house in Incubus, and how the goal posts in the game play were constantly moving and driving the mystery forward. There were several moments in the game when I had goosebumps and the hairs on my arms and neck raised involuntarily. To me, that meant that my unconscious brain was invested in the story that unfolded. The excellent use of sound (and silence) in the game was very effective too. And the ghost hunting tools were really a lot of fun to use in a simulated ghost hunt. I loved this game and was sorry when it ended.

Short and sweet. I jumped a few times and like how straightforward the game is.
While I’d love to go on an actual ghost-hunting trip, preferably with Darkling Room’s experienced Jonathan Boakes and Matt Clark by my side, I probably never will. That’s why I love playing games like "Incubus: A ghost-hunters tale". Here you can virtually investigate a haunted house for all kinds of paranormal phenomena, using all kinds of authentic gadgets and equipment. Other than the limited control scheme, I really appreciated the level of realism here, which surpasses anything the developers have released to date in that regard. Better still, in real life you wouldn’t get much further than waving an infrared camera around, while here you get to uncover hidden secrets, turning the experience into a bonafide horror tale of supernatural proportions. If, like me, you enjoy scaring yourself without actually putting yourself in any real danger, you’ll surely want to check this game out. After ten hours, I wasn’t exactly afraid to go upstairs to my own bedroom, but I did start hearing all kinds of weird sounds. Probably the neighbors… https://adventuregamehotspot.com/review/599/incubus-a-ghost-hunters-tale
While I had a few moments where I wasn't sure how to proceed, all in all the game was fun. I have been a Jonathan Boakes fan since Dark Fall so I am in for the fun.
a great real ghost hunting type of game that build the tension!!! Totally recommend!!!
Not comparable with the other games of jB
I bought this game and had to refund it after the first 10 minutes of the game. It's to bad I really wanted to like this game. Jonathan Boakes usually writes and does very good games stories. What bugged me is at the very begining of the game you arrive at the house and a lot of the hints or tutorial pop ups go away before you have a chance to see them or read them completely they should be made static so you can close them out when your done reading them. The worst mes up is when your talking to everyone on your phone and they act like they dont know anything about the place but then there like oh we setup a laptop there and its like bleep really you've ben here already but you don't know anything about the place. the tutorial is really bad at explaining things and the most annoying part everyone who has done ghost hunting stuff knows you shouldn't go to such places alone its unsafe since most places are abandoned and in disrepair and since you have a van outside they could've made it where the people are in the van monitoring you to make it a bit more realistic. additionally its very lack luster and the controls i found a bit awkward. it feels like they rushed this game and really didn't work so much on the writting and directing of the game as they needed to. Most darklingroom games are great like the lost crown but this game just urked me to no end
Imagine if Phasmophobia only had one house that you revisited a dozen times, and played like a mid-90's first person adventure game, the kind that got popular after CD-ROMs became popular where you stand on a static point looking around, clicking to move to another static point. Or for a more modern reference, Google Street View. Jump around the house that unfolds a little as you play, trying to determine the type of ghosts and locations for the current day or night. Thermal scanner shows handprints in the stairway? That's one of your 3 ghosts and locations found. That's really kind of it on the gameplay front, but that sells it rather short. The fact it uses 360 photography from a real building lends it a kind of believable vibe and creep factor that all the Unity Engine phasmo clones cannot ever hope for. It also has a story, that kinda goes places and gives some context. It's also about 3 hours long. Overall, it's a fun little budget experience. I really don't think it's worth the full asking price but your mileage may vary. However when it goes half-price it's very much worth it for a spooky evening.
