It is a time of war in Europe. Driven by new ideas of Enlightenment, the hearts of men and women across the continent are inflamed with dreams of freedom and glory. This is the moment for a military genius to forge himself a name to be remembered throughout all eternity. This is your moment.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Imperial Glory In today's grand strategy market, Imperial Glory is basically just a poor man's Empire/Napoleon Total War. However, when this game originally came out in 2005, those games didn't exist. At the time Imperial Glory was a pretty good grand strategy game set in Europe and northern Africa from the last 1700s to the early 1800s. Even today that is mostly true. Imperial Glory does suffer from some compatibility problems with newer operating systems, but for me those were all fixed by running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. Graphically the game does definitely look dated. That being said, that doesnt stop the real time battles from still being large impressive set pieces. The turn based campaign map lacks the realistic birds eye view from the newer Total War games but it still depicts the game world pretty well in my opinion. The player gets a "Risk" like map that looks like a real general's map in some army camp with little board game pieces to represent armies and navies (yes there is also naval warfare). Gameplay should be very similar to those familiar with Total War games. It consists of playing as either Russia, Prussia, the UK, France, or Austria in a massive campaign to take over all of Europe. There are also smaller NPC empires such as Spain and the Ottoman Empire. The UI has aged well over the years. Though it might seem daunting, the game is actually quite simple and the tutorial teaches almost all that is required. This game is no Europa Universalis or Crusader Kings. The real time battles are also basically what you would expect from a grand strategy game. It plays almost the same as a Total War game except for one huge missing factor which will turn off some players. For some reason Pyro Studios never thought that it was a good idea to include a unit morale system. Thus your units feel more like automatons than actual human beings. They will literally fight to the death when outnumbered 20 to 1. There are also historical battles which follow the conquests and defeat of Napoleon and multiplayer/bot skirmishs.
One of my favorite games!
For the nostalgic. - Graphics are as you would expect from a 2005 game. If you're concerned about that, try different game. If you're here for the RTS then well worth the price. - Very slow paced. Personally I feel pacing if off putting at the beginning. However once you manage to progress sufficiently ahead then you realise the game is not so simple and more complex than imagined. - Limited campaign battles - Diplomacy works well. - Environment will have a great outcome on tactics/ battle, - Getting ahead in economy is tough work. - It holds up well while there are others which do it better it's definitely worth trying, especially for any RTS fan. Overall 7.5/10.
I started the game, not expecting much from it, especially since it's an older title. I was apprehensive, and the menu was simple, containing three modes: Campaign, Historical Battles, and an online mode I haven't tried yet. You play in only five countries: France, Britain, Prussia, Russia, and Austria. Each country has its own advantages and disadvantages, so you don't get bored quickly. The game is honestly a bit difficult, especially at the beginning when learning the mechanics. Play for a while, then it gets easier, but it's still challenging. You have raw materials and food supplies, so as your army grows, food supplies decrease, and your units get hungry. You have to build farms and food stores. The game is enjoyable, and the naval battles are the best, hands down. The land battles have slightly difficult controls, but they're good. The gunfire and soldier voices are very nice. It's a game worth buying, especially at this low price.
