This game is unfortunately in competition with Emberward, another excellent tower defense maze-building roguelike, and Emberward had a bit of a headstart. This game's primary difference (and strength) is its focus on tower synergies and evolutions. My biggest gripe with Emberward was how it never felt like my towers really worked together. Imaginytes has both active and passive synergies that grow with your deck, making your selections for towers much more impactful than just filling a role slot. I'm excited to dive deeper into this game, since the metaprogression trees are huge and your talent selections can completely change the way you play the game. Definitely worth a try if you're a fan of other TDs!
A pretty fun take on roguelike tower defenses. Lots of different units and effects that still feel unique enough from each other, and an extensive meta progression tree that gives you a lot of different upgrades to unlock. Honestly feels like a full release already, other than the usual needed tweaks and some bug fixes.

It took me a little while to get into it. For the first while it seemed to lack a certain feel but once I got used to it, this is a really good TD game. It's slightly different which is a good thing, it is not like othe TD games and yet enough of the familar that makes it engaging.
amazing game. actually challenging early on and not a cakewalk until an impossible boss, like many roguelikes Dev - please change the sound sample used for next wave, it's so annoying rn ! just something very subtle and mild instead of DA DA DING!!!!
Really interesting blend of roguelite, tower defense, and deckbuilder. Thoroughly enjoyed the demo and look forward to exploring the game further.
Ignore the playtime listed; I dropped a good ~15 hours on the demo before early access! Anyway, yes, the game is very good (hence all the time just on the demo). It's basically a combination of teamfight tactics and bloons td6 , with a roguelike deckbuilder layered in. Very replayable, reasonably deep strategically, and pretty addictive too. Developer is very responsive and helpful.
A rare gem in the tower defence genre this game just gives so much variety in it's upgrades and ways to play that it keeps you engaged for a long time.

As a roguelite addict, I highly recommend. There is a unique blend of "one more turn" style gameplay and "next run I should do THIS" that keeps me coming back. The game paces very well both in powerscaling per run and per battle.
It's good.
