A very basic 3D platformer that doesn't offer a lot to the people who enjoyed the Ice Age franchise and is more for the fans of the beloved saber-toothed squirrel. Like Trolls: Remix Rescue, it's like your average PS2 3D platformer. The combat feels unpolished, the forced backtracking if you're aiming for 100% completion just like old 3D platformers, and the level design delivers nothing to offer and really just isn't enjoyable. Plus, there aren't a lot of enemies in this game, so the game was running out of ideas. I'm also not a fan of the story, and I feel like Trolls: Remix Rescue did better than that. Plus, there was no voice acting, only archival recordings of Chris Wedge from what I remember; it came from the Ice Age: The Meltdown video game. Some things I enjoyed are that it's a really chill platformer that is mostly for kids, but it still can be a good way to kill time, especially for someone who is interested in getting into the franchise. I bought this game to give it a shot after Ice Age: Boiling Point was announced. I heard that this game has also game-breaking bugs, but I didn't have any of those, so my playthrough wasn't as catastrophic. I'm sorry, I wish I liked this game, but I just find Trolls: Remix Rescue to be the better 3D platformer in comparison. Better luck next time, Outright Games. It's still worth it if you're willing to get into the franchise and when you're in the mood for 3D platformers, but PLEASE only buy it when it's on a huge sale (got mine for 85% off, I think).
