This is a story game cleverly designed to be replayed. I got to the end and thought "ahh! I see what you did there! Very clever!" I appreciated the content guide at the beginning of the game. For me, it kept me from rage-quitting the game. If you are a fan of letting a story unfold, come what may, I recommend not looking at that document. I wonder who I will be on my next playthrough...
SO charming. I absolutely love the world building and characters!! You play through the struggles of adolescence and maintaining a society and community. There is so much potential for replays as there are so many endings, routes, and relationships to choose from. I love the addition of the card game so it's not just a pure a visual novel, it's a fun puzzle every time and can be very challenging at times. The story goes into politics, economy, society, and environmentalism. The characters are so well written and you fall in love with them so easily, also the designs are so fun! The alien planet is really cool and I love the ecology/biology of it, it's so interesting and well thought out! I was immediately invested and have yet to have a run I was bored with. Also, prepare to be emotionally devastated, serious ♥♥♥♥ goes down with navigating the hardships of founding a colony on a completely unknown planet. The art is stunning, the music is amazing, and the dialogue is so well written. Definitely a must have if you like choice-based games!

I just keep coming back for more. I've done three playthorughs now and I still want more. There's so much to discover and enjoy. The art and story is beautiful. I want the best for these characters. I feel as though I could play this forever. I've even been dreaming about resource management thanks to this. Yes that is a good thing!!!
First time playing something like this and I LOVED IT. I liked the card mechanic and how different the choices make the plot. Highly recommend.

If you like narrative games, science fiction, card games, spending a lot of time in dialogues and exploring a little, this game is made for you. The story is really fun, compelling with a lot of small details and endings hidden through discoveries and new runs. Characters are easy to love or hate, depending on your personality. You'll find what you like, if you're into this kind of game. Kuddos to the team

This game captivated me. The way the world unfolds as you replay is masterful. The artwork is gorgeous and the writing is utterly charming. There are so many layers of happenings in every playthrough. I can't recommend it enough!
I love this game. I once saw a review that said if you were debating just getting the game to absolutely do it, and I have never regretted it. It's really up there as one of my favourite games of all time. I love choose your own adventure games and Exocolonist is so innovative in how it implements that system. There's tons of replayability, and you don't have to pretend your other playthroughs of the game don't exist. The art is gorgeous, and I am obsessed with the soundtrack -- it's super immersive, I truly love it. So if there's anyone on the fence, give it just a couple hours, because it really is worth it in my experience.
