Decided to buy it despite the controversies surrounding it, and although it wasn't even a little fun, they were still updating it consistently so probably could get better right? HLD was great! Well they gave up, and still have the audacity to charge for it. DO NOT BUY THIS
It's very similar to Witchfire in setup, but lacks the excitement in enemy design, encounter design, world design, weapon design, ability design...etc. It just feels very meh. The world is sparsely populated, repetitive and bland. Combat is serviceable but not standout in any area. Nothing gets the adrenaline going in this aside from I guess the threat of dying? I will keep an eye on this one, but for now, I'm disappointed with what's on offer (i remain excited by the premise and potential though).

Was the game fun, yes. Did it feel finish hell no. But i saw something great here. Today i was about to redownload to check whats new. But to my surprise i saw a note posted "hyper light drifter will no longer see development." Then i felt a pain in my chest. This is the problem that we are facing today, the aspect of "stop killing games".
Still selling an EA game for $30 with almost no content after halting development for the game is scummy any way you cut it This game is extremely barebones and not worth $30, not even really worth $10
Wanted to wait and give the game a chance to cook a little before passing judgement. Hyper Light Breaker has made tremendous progress since starting early access. Can't wait to see what else they do to expand the game.
This game had always looked interesting to me. bought it just for them to end development days later. Will likely never purchase a title from these devs again
pretty great game for being in early access i wish they didn't take it out back and shoot it
Would have had more value buying a paper bag for $20 to use as an umbrella in a downpour. As many have stated, this game has been abandoned and refunds are being refused, so even though it's still purchasable it's an inadvisable purchase.
This game is no longer being developed and is permanently stuck in early access. Do not buy it.
See you space cowboy... Coulda been one of the greats had it released in a better spot, slow updated with little content and a gameplay rework a year into release didnt help this game at all, shame it was put down the way it was.
