Okay, y'all were right, the first jump is genuinely impossible, I didn't even know it was possible to ♥♥♥♥ up controls this bad and I've played some really janky ♥♥♥♥ in my time. Cool concept, though; shame I never really got to see it.
I wish there were a mixed button for the reviews. When this game came out my rig was struggling with the water physics, but now after 16 years I can finally play this without any problem :D Was it worth it? Yes and no. The gameplay was ok for the most part, but it is full of jank. I like jank, but this was frustrating jank sometimes. The gunplay was jank because when I take cover and than shoot from that cover, most of the time I was shooting the cover's invisible corner and not the enemy. I have to move out from cover to shoot the enemy. You have regen health of course which was the style at the time. The most interesting part of the game is when you got your powers in the last 15 minutes of the game to kill the lame ass boss. I didn't know much about this game, and I bought it on steam like 10 years ago I think, but this game is only a tech demo. Shame it never got an actual sequel.

Clearly made on a budget, it is an intriguing playable tech demo. Water physics can be entertaining, and the overall set of mechanics implemented here is pretty complete for its time, but at this point they probably won't impress. The game being set on a massive cruise ship is interesting, but most levels consist of bland corridors below the main deck. Apart from the swimming sections, there's some very basic climbing, and a stick-to-cover button with the ability to round corners while remaining in cover. Several types of ammo change the pistol's firing mode; these are: infinite single shot, inaccurate full-auto, remotely detonated explosive pellet, accurate semi-auto, and shocking pellet. Pretty much right before the end credits the player character acquires limited water control powers, but they are awkward to use. Players can play with the powers and the rest of the arsenal a bit more against five waves of enemies in the challenge room, unlocked after beating the game. There are also collectibles to find, and they can be found through playing levels separately through the level selection menu. Enemy intelligence is rudimentary. During underwater encounters they swim to close the distance and keep shooting while treading water. On land some waiting might be necessary for them to pop their heads out of cover. Near the end there is a somewhat problematic jump towards a ledge, which often results in failure. Some say limiting the game to 60 FPS helps with that. The final boss and its summoned baddies outright refused to attack and stood completely still while taking damage, making the pretty anticlimactic ending even more lacklustre. Regrettably, this project could have been so much more, had the developers the time and funding.
polecam ustawić rozdzielczość większą od waszego monitora
too many freezes, crashes, fails to sync with the cloud, camera lags ⭐ 1/10
