Hot Wheels Unleashed is an awesome game. Between the story missions, the cars you can unlock (mixed with the background of the levels and the story mode) all combine for a great experience. It may make you feel like a child again--bring back that nostalgia of being a hot rod racer with your favorite metal cars on the living room floor or supper table, battling for position against a friend (or one made of make-believe-magic) for first position. Game-play and controls are great, and it gives you a superb sense of speed on the tracks. Very fun, and car collecting is highly addictive.

Man, how things have changed. I own several Hot Wheels games for the PS2, the Wii, the DS, etc. Those games were better. They had rock music, aggressive visuals, and thrilling gameplay. They had that charm that made Hot Wheels iconic, and it's not seen or felt in this one. Everything just feels minimalist, and I'm pretty sure that is the opposite of what Hot Wheels is meant to be. The use of the word 'hell' makes me unsure what target audience this game is meant for, assuming it's also for kids. The game's music does not feel like the pumping action found in older games, the UI looks simple, and the gameplay feels too straightforward to be flexible. This is just coming from a guy who was a fan of the brand during childhood. This game does not have the same essence as the older ones.
Awesome game
Multiplayer is dead, some of the gimmicks on the tracks are unintuitive and annoying, in game loot boxes to get new cars, and requires paid DLC to get all the achievements.
This game runs horribly and crashes often. Would NOT recommend, its a waste of money.
