J'adore Hot Wheels Unleashed. Le premier opus est une pépite d'arcade, mais le système de progression et de boutique aléatoire de ce deuxième épisode est, à mes yeux, l'une des pires idées de la série. Le positif d'abord : Le jeu est graphiquement un cran au-dessus du premier, et l'ajout de la mécanique de saut apporte une vraie verticalité et de la fraîcheur au gameplay. C'est dynamique et plaisant à prendre en main. Le gros point noir : la boucle de gameplay "Loto". Au lieu de lancer le jeu parce que j'ai envie de courir, je me connectais souvent uniquement pour vérifier si la voiture qui m'intéressait était enfin disponible dans la boutique à rotation horaire. Si ce n'était pas le cas, je refermais purement et simplement le jeu sans faire une seule course. Ce système transforme une progression qui devrait être motivante en une bête mécanique d'attente artificielle. On ne joue plus pour débloquer un bolide par le mérite ou l'effort ; on attend passivement que le jeu accepte enfin de nous le proposer. Dans un jeu d'arcade où le plaisir principal vient justement de collectionner et changer régulièrement de voiture, c'est un énorme gâchis. J'aurais largement préféré un déblocage lié aux performances, à des défis précis, ou l'accès direct aux DLC inclus dans les éditions supérieures. Pour couronner le tout, l'interface a régressé : la personnalisation est moins poussée et moins gratifiante que dans le premier opus, et l'on se perd constamment dans des menus inutilement complexes. (Note pour les inspecteurs des compteurs d'heures Steam : j'ai acheté ce deuxième opus en promotion sur PC pour profiter de la technique, mais j'ai retourné le jeu dans tous les sens sur Nintendo Switch avant cela. Je sais exactement de quoi je parle et comment le jeu se comporte sur le long terme). En résumé : Si vous cherchez l'esprit "boîte de jouets" et le plaisir immédiat, le premier reste supérieur dans sa philosophie. Le 2 a de meilleures mécaniques de course, mais son système économique et ses menus gâchent une bonne partie du fun.

Eh de admitir que al inicio no me gustó... Tanto así que lo reembolsé. Sin embargo le dí una segunda oportunidad, eh incluso me quejé de cosas que, ahora, me parecen ridículas. Me encantó. ¿Recomendado? Absoluto. Es muy divertido. Lo único malo podría decir yo, es que odio el modo de capturar banderas, ya que es muy difícil.
