An absolute masterpiece! i just want to say thank you to Team cherry for gifting humanity this beautiful game. i'm grateful i'm born at the same era as the Hollow Knight duology(hopefully Trilogy) , with everything thats going in the world right now, Team cherry, you guys make it worthwhile!
original game was peak, this is peaker. i thought it was more boring at the start of my first playthru but as you progress it gets a lot better and the music is also nicer than the first game imo the storyline is probably not as strong in this but theres a lot of opportunity for customization of gameplay and theres also more non-dlc optional content (wishes)
Man I love how this souls-lite metroidvania starts with you feeling weak but as you progress, level up and unlock abilities, you start to feel more and more powerful in a way that feels earned because of how much this game makes you work for it. No surprise since the previous game doesn't hold your hand either, but silk song takes the formula to another level when it comes to traversal and oddly satifying side quests whose rewards complement your character's inventory in solid ways. The music, art, and maps are a ten too.
