Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
What a better way to kill immersion than putting a transvestite barkeeper NPC in an early quest and an African NPC. How many copies of this game did the developers sell in Africa? I went from at least trying to follow the story to skipping every cutscene almost immediately.
very fun and i liked doing all the cool spells and exploring the castle, kinda glitchy but i still enjoyed it, would probably play it again 8/10

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best CN #32, worst US #90 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 48.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 124.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Here's your full ghoulish rundown for Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy — RECOMMENDED Every kid who ever waited for a Hogwarts letter that never came finally got their acceptance owl — and against all the cynicism, Avalanche actually built the castle worth moving into. Hogwarts Legacy is the open-world wizarding RPG people had daydreamed about for two decades, and when it works, it captures a specific childhood ache better than almost any licensed game has any right to. The magic here — literally — is the castle itself. Hogwarts is a genuine marvel: shifting staircases, secret passages behind portraits, the Room of Requirement bending to your whims, moving paintings muttering as you pass. Wandering those halls for the first time hits an emotional nerve that no marketing could fake. Step outside and you get the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade, and a sprawling Highlands countryside packed with beasts to tame, puzzles to crack, and dark wizards to blast. The spell-based combat is a genuine highlight too — chaining spells into flashy, satisfying combos never gets old, and going full dark-arts with the Unforgivable Curses has a wicked thrill to it. An 86 on Metacritic marks it as a strong, confident RPG, and the storytelling stays surprisingly fresh across a long adventure. For fans of the world, it delivers the fantasy: your student, your house, your journey through a school year steeped in secrets. What'll gnaw at you: Avalanche tried to do everything at once, and the seams show. The RPG systems — the gear, the messy economy, the endless collectible checklist — feel bolted on and shallow next to the atmosphere. The open world, gorgeous as it is, leans on a lot of familiar busywork, and the side content can start to feel like padding once the novelty of the setting cools. It's a game carried by place and wonder more than by mechanical depth. The ghoulish truth: this is a game you play with your heart, not your head. If you go in demanding a razor-sharp RPG, the shallow systems will nag at you. But if you want to live in Hogwarts — to sneak through the halls after curfew, brew potions, and duel in the dark — few games have ever built a world this lovingly. Grab your wand. The castle's been waiting for you.
unoptimized slop
I will say There its TONS TO DO in this game . Lots of exploration and puzzles to solve. There is also decent amount of combat and mix of story. Lots of quest to keep you occupied. AND THE HOGWARTS SCHOOL IS HUGE . Make sure you do your classes TO GET ALL YOUR SPELLS AND STUFF!!!. The game overall I would rate a 7.5/ 10 8.5 - 9 if they fix some issues down below. VERY MUCH RECOMMEND TO ANYONE who wants a Great Story and tons of content mixed with fighting , exploration, and puzzles and more!!! . Please keep reading as The suggestions down below may help you a lot when setting the game up and getting it to run smoothly Good game, Not optimized the best. It does have trouble with some studdering and frame loss (Known Issue). But overall when it is not doing that it runs great 144fps and more. The main place it drops frames is in Hogsmead and Hogwarts at everything but textures at ultra . with my specs I feel fsr 3 has overall best performance for the UPSCALE TYPE under graphic settings. I did try DLSS and while i did get good frames it had a weird rubberish band effect thing going on Frame Generation at x4 x3 . x2 game a very stable 90 fps across the board even in the school and hogsmead. but the input lag was still there and i found that running at 90 fps on this lap top posed some screen tear so for that. I went with FSR 3 best over all for the Upscale Type. I chose Under fsr 3 - Set the upscale to Balanced or Quality , i left mine on balanced because quality did not look much different. Frame Generation - AMD Frame generation on vsync - on Frame limit 144FPS All settings underneath i switched to off, I dont really care for them. DONT TURN ON RAY TRACING . It will use to many resources and cause crashing or weird artifacts that also cause crashing or freezing. There is not enough resources on the computer to use ray tracing unless everything is on like medium. The visuals you get from ray tracing on medium wont do it justice XD, It does indeed work but not the best . The game will be more visually appealing on the other settings with this off. MAKE SURE RAY TRACING IS OFF!! For the other Graphic settings I chose preset Ultra then I changed Texures to High Other things I changed prefrence really even with these on it does not really affect performance I just dont care for them that high XD Fog, Sky, Foliage, and post processing I turned all to Medium. out side of hogwarts with those settings this Set up will run a smooth 120 fps + most places out side Hogwarts and Hogsmead. Most cutscenes so far give 200 + Inside the school you can expect 70 fps + it is mostly around 90 Though transitioning through some doors seems to have issues when opening . That could be the ram or cpu not being able to load the game fast enough . I feel it is because the lap top has 16 gb and it is pulling from system memory which is a lot slower . It might not be that though lol. Please note the highest level i have accomplished is 22 so i don't think i am even close to seeing the whole map, But for what I have experienced so far and the settings I have adjusted this feels the best. None of the settings i changed to medium or off affected the performance really. The main thing that affected it is texutres because that gpu only has 8gb of VRAM ( which is different from Regular Ram ).I hear the game can easily get past that . I also set my laptop to extream mode under the Lenovo Space app I did turn on their overclock feature too and I kept it default to their extreame profile. Do this at your own risk as overclocking can brick / mess up your computer. Please do your research heavily before deciding on your own if your want more out of your computer. Linus Tech Tips on youtube is an AMAZING place to start. But i also suggest that channel entirely because he has super help full tips on way more then just overclocking. Taught me a lot about computers and technology in general. GO CHECK OUT LINUS!! Hope this helps anyone looking for guidence. I tried to explain the best I could !!
The castle is truly a thing to behold. Possibly one of the coolest single indoor structures ever put in a game. Unfortunately the game peaks there and as the campaign goes on you spend less and less time in it. The combat is fun while you learn it, but after a couple dozen hours it's rinse and repeat no matter what you are fighting. The puzzles, also fun at first, but there are dozens of near 1:1 copies of a handful of puzzle "types" that only exist to eat up your time. They simply aren't worth doing. You can easily hit max level while barely making progress in the main story which is pretty deflating. They could have shaved off more than half of the copy/paste crap and the game would be much better for it. Story is stupid but what did you expect. Still it's fun enough, runs well, and it really delivers if you have any nostalgia for the HP world. Game goes on sale all the time, don't spend more than $15 or you're getting robbed.
