I'd really like to like this game, but the combat is just a dealbreaker. Imagine going to the dentist, except your dentist has seeker missiles, and over the buzzing drill he shouts ENGINE OVERHEATING at you every five seconds. That's what the combat in this game feels like. Although you take the role of a fleet admiral, you only send one ship at a time into battle against every ship the enemy has, swapping it out when it gets damaged. It's called Highfleet because the fleet admiral must be high as a kite to adopt this ludicrous strategy. So you have an arcade shooter where the movement is slow and painful even on the fast ships, which is a pain because you have to dodge missiles *all the time*, in between dodging the guns of multiple enemy ships. When you fire back, all you have to guide you is an optimistic little reticule pointed in the general direction of your mouse, which terminates about 3 lightyears away from the enemy ships. So in between piloting your missile-magnet housebrick you get the joy of blasting volley after volley of *very slowly* reloading weaponry into empty air. Everything that will make you buy this game is good, as afar as I can see: great atmosphere, authentic tactile interfaces, good sound and visual design, ship customisation. But the combat is not for me, and it might not be for you either. Try dentistry instead.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dune in Kazakhstan. The devs love shooting themselves in the foot. The gameplay, setting, and visuals are all immaculate. Honestly this game was looking like my next 10/10 rating. But then I dug deeper into ship building. Ignoring the less egregious issues like not being able to build your own flagship (without file editing... takes maybe 5 mins), I realized how much this game seems to punish creative ship construction. So a good example of this (and the source of much frustration) is reinforced hull versus armor. Essentially in early patches of the game, you could build very compact (and a bit lighter) with reinforced hull at the expense of being more vulnerable to blast damage. Similarly, armor would be bulkier, but protect from splash and penetration way better. As of more 'recent' patches, this was taken out. Similar events play out through the entirety of the ship building, to the point where I'm disappointed by the supreme lack of opportunity for creativity. If you're going to have a ship builder in your game, why stifle players who find intriguing pros and cons to different build strategies? Now, basically every good ship design is made up of uber-specialized craft meant to accomplish one goal. While you might say this is "realistic", you'd be wrong (Bradley, BMP, 90% of USA's modern equipment), and more importantly it's boring as hell. Let me make a methane-fueled battle-carrier, damnit. 8/10, held back by poor choices that likely come from a justification of "balancing".
Do I know what I am doing half the time? - No Does it flash bright lights at me? - Yes Do I love the sounds the guns make? - Yes Literally tanks that suck fuel and ♥♥♥♥ it out - Also yes Only complaint. - Why does a guy question me when I say yes I want to fire all my nukes?
This game is an experience. A very refreshing, but also very rough one. The first thing you notice is simulator-like UI with a lot of interactive buttons and stuff. This is NOT a full fleet simulator. But it is convicing enough to enjoy the good part of it. You can match different signals from radars using a map and a ruler to detect enemies. You can decrypt hostile radio communications (even without unlocking the code). Every button in UI repesents a menu or a feature in a creative simulator-like way and that's great! The "realistic" radio chatter is another great thing and adds a lot to the atmosphere. The gameplay loop is divided in two distinct parts: strategic and arcade mode: Strategic mode represents your fleet movements, supplies and macromanagement. All the radar/radio/ stuff also belongs there. To understand how deep this part can be, you can look up some video on youtube (look for "highfleet strategic glory" thing). Arcade mode represents combat. You command your ships one by one to defeat the enemy party in a real time 2d battle. I guess that's the point where people might have some trouble... The idea behind the combat is really simple: fly, boost, shoot, send rocket. But you're going to be outnumbered 1 to 3 most of the time. And your ships are no better than hostile ones. Sooo here you'll have to learn and get used to it. Some tips for new players to make arcade battles easier:

Rely on dodging and speed, not tanking bullets with armor;
Light ships go in first, medium go next, heavy cruisers are a last resort;
Examine the hostile ships before battle and focus fire bursts on the weak spots (bridge is marked with an emblem);
Premade ships are not optimised at all. Try playing around in ship building sandbox (yes, there is one!). Or at least modify them a bit during the campaign.
The story around all that gameplay is also pretty engaging and has several really cool twists. Graphics are up to date and will not dissapoint. So, in conclusion, this game is fun to play once you learn the basics and brings such an atmosphere to the table that I heavilly recommend to try it out. This is one of my most favourite games ever.
Hour 1: oooh, its a cool arcade style, diesel-punk, action game. Hour 40: This is a complicated simulation of naval tactics and strategy. Manage sensors, logistics, and strike planning.
I bought this game 3 days ago and I almost have 24 hours in it. This game is magnificent and easily some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game. It is a roguelike, an RPG, a vehicle combat simulator, a vehicle builder, and a strategey game, which sounds all over the place but all the mechanics mesh together so well that it blends seamlessly into one super engaging gameplay loop. My only complaint is that I bought it when I should have been studying for a term test and now I keep getting distracted by it.
WARNING, THERMAL SIGNATURE DETECTED "is it a strike fleet or planes?"..... WARNING, VISUAL CONTACT, "Its a nuclear ballistic missile? Oh there's 7 of them? Oh its too late to dodge? Oh I have no more CWIS or AA missiles? Why is 'Tanc A Lelek' playing? ... uh oh" . . . STRUCTURAL DAMAGE RECEIVED, EVACUATE THE SHIP!
结局烂尾,作者似乎也不打算填坑了,半成品游戏不应该拿出来售卖
