Heroes of Might & Magic V

Best HoMM game ever made. Ignore the deluded HoMMIII fans, this game nukes both HoMMIII and HoMMII from orbit.

хз, игра детства, лучшая часть homm, в разы больше нравится чем тройка, из-за своего визуала и механик уникальных в серии, так ещё имеет 2 аддона которые в разы улучшают игру

[h1]Still the greatest Heroes of Might and Magic game all these years later.[/h1] While there are a few things that heroes 6 and 7 does better, this is the games that feels the best to play (at least for someone, who only plays the campaign. Having one story throughout works much better than having a series of campaigns that can be played in any order and allows for more variety in maptypes and by extension length with only a few truly tedious maps and some minor bugs here and there. [h2]Down/Negatives[/h2] The biggest negative is a lack of quality of life features that were added in later entries - A lack of "control zones" for towns/castles. Meaning all the mines have to be individually taken. - Unable to teleport between cities (though adventure spells are present and will remove headaches, such as summon creatures and teleport to nearest town.) - Randomness in options for skills when leveling. - unable to autocombat annoying battles where you are meant to lose. Having to at best watch them play out. Minor bugs - one sidequest does not track properly, and I think that means you will not get some pretty powerful artifacts you are meant to have later on in the game. - a building where you are meant to chose +2 attack or +defence is bugged, so you do not get either choice after it is picked. A few annoying maps. Though over six campaigns with five maps each that is not so bad. [h2]Up/Positives[/h2] Great pacing in the campaign. Most maps in the campaigns are made for a continious push so there is not so much having to run around defending multiple frontlines all the time. Making the main game much more fun throughout that. The best world (Ashan, also shared with the sequels) and the best story in the heroes series, though it ends on a cliffhanger for the expansions. Many units are large and bulky, but that just leads to them feeling more impactful. As always in the heroes series, almost all units have something unique about them, leading to a lot of fun variety.
