I didn’t expect small decisions to affect the outcome so much, because one wrong move and you can lose both the hero and the battle!
I have played many RPGs and the simplicity of this game makes it unique. The gameplay is easy for those who have never played turned based games and the different difficulties can give new players practice to experienced players a challenge. Each character on your team has unique move and attack sets which can add so much strategy. There are so many weapons and spells to play around with along side character builds. I look forward to playing this game time and time to explore more of the game and its future updates.

This really is the definition of a 'hidden gem ' game. It's way deeper than I thought and you'll be surprised too when you play it. Keep in mind I'm giving this review while it's in EA so the game still needs some polish especially when it comes to guides and tutorials. The devs are very active on the discord channel and have bridged this knowledge gap with prompt responses to my questions. They are aware of the lack of documentation / tutorials and are working to correct that situation. It's not without some in-game guides to combat when you start, however, because the game is so deep with features it's hard to cover that all. IMO you'll be hard pressed to find another fun game in this genre for this price.
At first glance it looks simple but as you dive deeper a there are details to explore, build and master everywhere. 80 hours in, it is still an interesting, novel and fun character building game. The game is continuously under development with bugs here and there but I have never played a game with such fast and competent responses from devs. This is how all games should be supported. Big thumbs up from.
This is just chess with extra steps. Nothing as enjoyable as the table top game of the same name.
The game world is surprisingly large, and although there are many places, you want to explore even the most remote places there are!
This game is very immersive! While the game play is simple, it leaves a lot of room for strategy. I really enjoy the graphics and audio as well. There's several different areas on the map to explore, with turn-based battles and loot to find along the way. My favorite part of the game was exploring the world.
The game really interested me, although there are many things that need to be worked on, I liked the variety of characters, it gives free rein to the tactics in my head to work to the fullest, it is also worth considering the map, it is large, interesting mechanics of exhaustion when moving around it, but nothing happens when stamina runs out (needs to be worked on). Basically, an interesting game to pass some time.
I am a big fan of this game, it is easy to understand, the game play is simple but also open for plenty of strategy, and each fight area allows you to pick a difficulty depending on your experience with turn based RPGs. I have not played many RPGs but this one really got me invested and I will be playing Hero Quest often.
Overall a nice start for a turn-based RPG. Choose one character to start, then command a party of 6 in small battles on a chess-like battle board. Use the abilities of your characters to win and level them up, gathering loot. Then you can return to town and replenish resources, add talents, buy new spells and items, or sell things on the auction house to other players. I think the world map, battle map, and city maps combine well. I havent explored the mid/late game or done much crafting yet. Good start to what will hopefully be a nice addition to the turn based genre when done.
