About
Slightly Random Dungeons is a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) simulator based around the 5th Edition compatible System Reference Document 5.2.1. Gather a company of quarrelsome mercenaries and set forth through the adventures of the Guilds and Gutters Campaign setting, or use the intuitive adventure building tools to craft your own campaign to challenge your friends or unleash upon the world.
The System Reference Document 5.2.1 is the freely licensed rules set for the 2024 revised 5th Edition, the latest (at time of development) version of the beloved roleplaying game. All the classes, species, spells, monsters and rules have been adapted to play. Adapt the home game that’s being pulled apart by scheduling conflict or make adventures with some of your backlog of characters that you’ve been itching to play!
What would a fantasy RPG be without a breadth of options! Current edition classics you all know and love: Your favourite subclasses, divine domains and schools of wizardry that are not evocation. They’re *all* licensed content we can’t use! Instead, we present a range of options that can fit in any fantasy setting, with all the rules to bring them to a real life tabletop campaign (if those still exist, please invite us)! Draw on ancient sites of power as the Circle of the Monolith Druid. Wield cloth and fabric like steel and iron as the Way of the Loom Monk. Goad your foes and battle for gold as the Prizefighter! Choose popular and setting neutral species like Pixies, Beastkin, Centaurs, all the classics from a time when myths were public property!
Our original campaign setting, Guilds and Gutters brings fantasy to the beginning of the industrial age. An empire on the brink of industrial revolution, with comfortable stagnancy on one side, frightening new technology on the other. Flintlock firearms test the supremacy of bows and cantrips. Leaders of industry debate the profitability of emerging steam engines versus good old human sweat and tears, superior dwarven sweat and tears, and the tireless workforces provided by necromancers. Horse riding is recreational and not just for move speed bonuses in combat.
