Hell Maiden picks up from the ending of the original Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri.
Dante is now inexplicably back in Hell after having reached Paradiso — and she's lost all her memories to boot! Unable to remember anything about her past life or her first journey through Hell, Dante is determined to climb her way back to Heaven and once again come face to face with Paradiso's higher powers in search for answers.
A compelling story about passion, justice and love, Hell Maiden is more than a reimagining of the classic poem — it is the exciting continuation of its events!

Every second of this game is filled with so much passion its insane, the Art and Music are already worth the 10 bucks. My only real non bug related complaint is how big the card pool is, every poet being at like a 20% chance of popping up really doesn't let you snowball their status/niche. Needless to say, I will be here for every content update for sure.
美术和音乐都特别喜欢,就是越到后面满屏的怪和攻击特效玩得我热泪盈眶🥹眼睛都看花了。没玩过同类型游戏这是正常的吗() 希望后期能多更新点内容,剧情丰富一点!

Gender-bent yuri Dante's Inferno twist with a classic 90/00s anime aesthetic, thematically alone this game slaps. Bullet heaven gameplay is solid with a nice take on the card upgrade and especially positioning system. Solid game as is, excited to see just how great it gets over early access.
came here for mili stayed for gameplay and story can't wait for the remaining 7 circles
Overall, I recommend the game, but at time of writing there are a few "hiccups" that must be addressed, that I assume might get fixed at some point before its out of Early Access. - There is a difficulty spike from area 1 to area 2. There's a lot of hard to avoid damage in the second area, but unlike most reviews here, I don't think its that bad if you're willing to learn what its trying to teach you. Mainly that its okay to spam dodge, and to invest in defensive stats. Once you get over "holding" your dash and spending a few levels on hp and defense, its not that bad. Movespeed is good too. - The controls are a bit...annoying, at least on keyboard. I find myself constantly getting stuck on tiny things and the "edges" of terrain that aren't easily discerned from the rest of the environment. You'll randomly dash and get stuck on stuff and take damage, and it can get a bit annoying. Some of the hitboxes are a bit suspect as well. - Massive difference in the quality of weapons and ults. The spear ult is just the best at the present because it makes you invulnerable for enough time to go take a bio break. With bosses having a "final" attack phase where you're forced to just dodge for a period of time, having the ability to just hit a button and walk away kinda defeats the purpose. - Some way to organically see which cards affect what weapons. The DRG roguelike would highlight weapons that an upgrade affects, and I think it'd do well here as well. And if everything affects everything, that'd be nice to know as well, because it doesn't really help a player much in terms of teaching them what does what. To this day, I have no clue if increasing weapon number affects a beam weapon. Yes, for a few of these you can just check the stats of something before and after, but there's no way to organically see it at a glance. Not everyone wants to look at a wall of text. - Sometimes you lose track of your mouse cursor, and unlike Vampire Survivors, you gotta aim. - Swapping cards back and forth can be a bit difficult with the UI. These are the main issues I have. Outside of this, and most of these are easily fixable before release, this is a competent game with great music and a satisfying gameplay loop.
Looks promising. The deckbuilding mechanic is interesting, but there is not much content right now. I've already beaten the game and got every available achievement (aside from the one that is currently unobtainable). I can't really comment on the story itself, because it's in its early stages, without any plot twists or huge developments, but the character design, voice acting, and overall art style are fantastic. If you want to support high-quality games made by passionate devs, I highly recommend buying it.
Really want to recommend it, but at the moment, there's a great first area, and a second area that is a massive slap to the face difficulty spike. If you like survivor likes with enclosed areas, masses of high HP enemies and enemies with tracking shots, hey, the second area is for you. For the rest of us, wait until 1.0. It's a damn pretty game though.
do you think they have strap ons in hell, i hope so for dantes sake
I love Mili so I play Mili games...
美少女版但丁,卡牌构筑可以转移强化挺好的。片头CG很有怀旧风格,配音是真的多,还有大技能特写动画
