Heart's Medicine - Time to Heal

Игра была ужасна весёлой, со своей Санта Барбарой и тому прочего. Но как человек, прошедший её на 100%, скажу, что некоторые задания оставляют желать лучшего. Серьёзно, кому в голову вообще пришла идея, что в хирургии будет отлично смотреться задания в виде: "не помогай докторам дважды", "успей сделать бонус доктора, иначе перепроходи", "держи доктора, который терпеть не может ждать и злится, когда ты делаешь что-то слишком быстро или слишком медленно", "пройди уровень вообще без бонусов". Слава богу, спасают улучшения, но это прямо ужас...

A fun game, with positives that outweigh the drawbacks. It's not high art, but it is a well-constructed time management game with a story that is deliciously schmaltzy. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, and it's really easy to three-star every level, but doing well on a level stays satisfying. It's not for everyone, because the gameplay loop stays exactly the same (with each level set only changing in visual theming), but the gameplay is solid enough that it really didn't bother me. On a meta level, you can see pretty clearly that this was originally a mobile game that featured microtransactions. Having those removed greatly improves the experience, which probably goes without saying. It's interesting playing the game, because you can see the holes where microtransactions would have been and just feel grateful that you dodged that bullet. The story is the best kind of cheese. Medical drama with more of a focus on Big Feelings than scientific verisimilitude, which I really enjoyed. I got way more invested in the Little Creek crew than I expected! It was fun, I don't know what else really to say about it. I didn't care that some of the plot beats were obvious, because I was fully enjoying myself. It was written with a lot of heart (if you'll permit the pun) and is definitely worth a look.
