It's a good game. The fact that the enemies have legit attacks means that you can learn them and know how to strafe to dodge them. There is one champion monster which has no cooldown on their attacks, which makes it rough for the melee hero. Melee hero could use some range on the attack. I eventually unlocked an enchantment that adds more, but I haven't seen any generic range stat that would apply to its attack. Not sure what the negative reviews are talking about though. I got through to area 4 without grinding any. I think i've failed 2 runs. But I'm also used to aRPGs and thus top-down attack dodges. So far it feels a bit light on the skills that I'm getting. There's not much WoWoW events once you select a skill and get enchantments for it. It's mostly "oh that's nice". get health regen with your first points. Put a lot into it. It's just good because it's the only way to heal consistently while in an area. Not sure how much health pots actually heal but it feels low. But any more and it would feel like a full heal. It's gonna be tough to balance because I rarely would end up using the camp in between areas. This feels like the balance is just right so that you get just strong enough to make it through an area but rarely powerful enough to trivialize everything. For now. If you want a game where you focus for the first 2 minutes and then tune out for the rest of the 30 minute run, this isn't the game for you. This is more of a self contained aRPG session where you level up and scrap together a build.
