Reviews
I've been playing Halo for nearly 25 years now, from skimming the mixed reviews here and playing the game myself. I understand the golden days of Bungie are long gone, 343 Industries now rebranded as Halo Studios still failed to live up to the expectations of the fans, including myself. But at the end of the day, it's still Halo to me despite the setbacks. Pros: The use of the soundtracks from the old halo games CE, 2, 3, Reach remixed into the game's OST, the visuals are on point I love the lighting and contrast of how the background and scenery pop out managed to get some nice screenshots, the prequel missions that take place before CE I kind of wished we got something better centered around maybe like Fire Team Raven (Fire Team Raven are the four ODSTs who fought during the battle of installation 04 and prevented the flood from escaping by sacrificing themselves to let the Chief escape and destroy the ring. Their only appearance was in the Fire Team Raven rail shooter arcade cabinet.) or maybe some other standalone character group instead. 4 player coop is an upgrade from the original two player coop experience we only got that added in Halo 3 with the introducing of Arby's boys N'tho and Usze who take over the roles of player 3 and player 4, the legendary ending with Johnson playing original Combat Evolved on the beach and the legendary easter egg playing out on the television got a cackle out of me, oh yeah did I tell you there was a crab rave easter egg on the beach! Cons: There is some issues with the in-game connection when playing coop sometimes someone will just crash on you randomly, Microsoft shoving a sign in screen just to play Halo? Feels like I am getting flashbacks to how Helldivers 2 got backlashed harder than ever for requiring you to sign with a PSN account, the game tends to experience extreme drops in performance especially in cutscenes I had to lower down my settings to low and cap my FPS at 60. No theater mode, no forge, no multiplayer I kept reading through these comments in the reviews. Like there's a reason why it's called campaign only, but I agree the premium edition is not worth buying if you can't at least use theater and make some nice screenshots out of those hot armor skins and weapons! Final thoughts on the game are it's a mixed bag, I heard the news with Halo Studios now laying off it's employees for a failed launch and how poorly the game sold. I really do hope one day maybe Bungie does come back in the future and takes the Halo IP away from 343 Industries, they really did soil the legacy of a beloved game by many. Until then, I would take my interests in playing MCC more for the campaigns.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Honestly It was fun, but I would rather replay the original the next time I wanna play halo ce. There are too many things that throw off the game a whole for me. The checkpoints are god awful like horrid, and the UNSC vehicles control like hot garbage on mouse and keyboard. Covenant vehicles are fine, I did like the gunplay it felt pretty good and the sound design for certain areas and weapons are really well done. As on brand, the music slaps like it always has, So ya it was fun exept for some things. Id only buy if you really love halo as a franchise if not play the og it holds up still today and is one of my favourite games ever made.
I’ll give it a 7.5/10. It would be a 10/10 if it had PVP.
After 60 hours and getting all the achievements this 4/10 if everything works and no bugs occur and the A.I from both sides function. its a 5/10 This Frankenstein soup of Halo assets with Unreal 5 all mixed in. it would be lower if the gameplay wasn't fun, it plays like a weird hybrid of Halo infinite and Halo 2 in some ways. if the bones of what bungie made wasn't here this would be a trash 1/10. the bugs are so bad. and iv played this about 7 to 10 times to get all the achievements. i iv seen all sorts of bugs and details that ppl who only played it once or gave up half way maybe didn't seethe frame drops in some missions is game breaking going down to 3-4 FPS- this happened in the mission of keys mostly. the Microsoft log in for only a story game is stupid. no multiplayer, no forge no theatre no file share no skins showing up in cut scenes for skins we bought for either the premium bundle or the pre order skins. oh and lets talk about the cut scenes. oh boy its bad. there choppy and out of sync. the voice acting is horrible for everyone! and they gutted out boy the chief. nobody was saved here. Cortana is annoying AF she wont shut up telling the player what to do. i do like that they keep most of the original grunt voice lines but the elites. its bad really bad, why do they call us a heretic if we as the MC are not part of their religion or fell off from it, its cringe just like other voice lines they say like when you break their shields they sometimes say berserk fury, or darkness when killed or im sorry when killed or chud when also killed. wtf no elite would ever say these things. its very cringe and stupid, the only times i actually likes or had a chuckle would be when you stick the with plasma grenades and they scream out. remove this divine grenade from me. oh and you only hear them say wort wort wort 2 maybe 3 times in the entire game. Capta keys sounds sad and depressed adn the weird paused on everyone for dramatic affect is so weird and off putting. oh boy Johnson is the worst and Cortana, is basically the weapon from infinite but worse someho game wont stop hand holding you. to the point it ruins almost everything about the game. it of course does no play anything like the OG. some guns like the famous pistol in the OG are weak and sound weak. and iv been playing Halo like many many others since the very beginning. the responsiveness of the guns is so bad. you switch to any gun or after reloading and you have to wait a good 1 to 2 seconds to shoot or throw a grenade. like bro... this is a FPS game how can this happen in a shooter. and sometimes this happens when you want to reload the damn guns i have to double or sometimes triple click for it to happen. to the point i think im out of ammo but nope its the game either just coded badly or this GOD awful idk if its the latency or both. The art style is completely killed and abandoned for ultra omega pristine realistic graphics. i mean yes one of the few positives in this game are the graphics they look amazing if you have a good pc like mine to put everything on ultra. but for what? at the cost of killing the aesthetic, vibe and art style. id prefer a down grade in graphics if that's the case. oh and there are times objects will pop in and out when your going from a dark place to a bright open place or when your driving. and in every level they just added triple or more masses of enemies just because and its such a hassel to kill them its just not fun. and oh boy the 1 tap instakill from charged plasma pistols is so stupid. there are soo soo many problems with this remake that its a spit in the face to not just halo fans but anyone who plays this game. i can go on and on and on but il finish off with the prequel missions they dumbed down the chief making him say stupid things and quibs. his interaction with Johnson is so cringe and forced and yes the boss girl odst. I knew something like this was going to appear in this game. knowing that 343 studios yes im calling them that just because they changed their name and fired a few team leads does not change anything. this studio is filled with woke transgender feminist and soy boy beta cuck males. that just had to insert their mental illn all over this game. but mostly in the prequel missions. why is this tiny cringe boss girl talking down to chief eh? oh but the lore ♥♥♥♥ the lore. the odsts have fought with the master chief in all the games and they are always respectfull and happy to see him and glad he comes in to save them. and the ship the prequel mission take place on. im going to be blunt and straight to the point. it looks like a penis just in case steam censured the word it looks like a males junk or a vibrador for women. never in the books or visual novels or concept art or in any halo game ever made has a covenant ship looks like a mans genetalia. why? why do this? and how is this tiny ass ship hold a planet sized ecosystems, the missions feel like im playing a worse version of firefight but moving from one place to another and back tracking almost the entire time. and the missions also have so many halo 2, 3 reach heck all the bungie games soundtracks randomly playing just because and they alos have lots of places that are almost ripped from bungie games. oh man what a ♥♥♥♥ show. and the rando ass beta cuck prophet introducing the covenant like its an announcer at a wrestling match. like and heeree we have the grunnts and the awesome jackles, lets not forget the baddass elites. but wait there's more! the biggest baddest of them all the brutes. Like this is the worst show and dont tell moments iv ever seen in any form of media. the battle rifle is the weakest iv ever seen in any halo game, the saving grace of this game is yes the pretty graphics if your pc can handle it and brute force the bugs out. the skulls are fun but if you want to use the skull to have the 60 round AR good luck having any friendly NPCs do anything. they basically get lobotomized and never shoot their gun, if you lucky they might throw a grenade here and there. oh boy the flood. this was one of the main reason why I risked buying this game and tried my damn hardest to not get spoiled, of all the things halo has offered since its birth. the flood have always been my favourite faction to fight and be immersed in a hellscape type environment. and the visual improvements were OK. the library was so bad and worse than the OG. except for the final room before you go for the index. it felt like a mini boss room with many tank pure forms coming at you random flood well pun intended flooding you, and floors wort spores in some places that pop if shot at or blown up with any explosion. and i like that if you want to move from one hall way to another you need to pop like 2 of them to get in and out of them. and about all the good stuff i have for the flood oh and 343 guilty spark is OK when it comes to its ambiance. its a bit too bright in some places and needs more blood but eehh its ok. but boy oh boythe flood a.i is the worst of all NPCs in the game the first time playing this game I played it on legendary and I got swarmed by like 5 or 8 flood as soon as they appear in the game and i thought oh ♥♥♥♥ I'm so dead. there a.i is so bugged they barley hit me once maybe twice and didn't even drop half of my health. i just walked around them since i played it with no sprint and the 60 ar rounds. the elite animations when killed is the same the tank forms are stupid as ♥♥♥♥. they get stuck in walls and doors and all you have to do to avoid them is get on top of any object and they just run in c. and all they do is jump punch and miss 9 out 10 times if there more than 5 or 7 feet away from you there a.i breaks complete. they will either just stand there and sometimes shoot you or just do nothing and if your far and there running at you they will literally run in slow motion. if this is what the future of halo will be just let halo die. dont remake anymore bungie games pls
I love the Halo Games. I started back when Reach came out on the 360 and played the first remaster for Halo CE. If you are looking for something better than what you can already get on Halo MC, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. At least not right now. On AMD hardware for GPU and CPU. The game will not run at a smooth 60 FPS, I am constantly running below 20 FPS in the early areas of the game. My brother, who I am playing with, is also have issues with NVIDA hardware. I was told UE5 was bad, but I did not think it was this bad. Please fix this! In the industry plagued with buggy or unoptimized releases, please try to stand out amongst the crowd. 4/10, unless you want play the worst version of this game, do not buy it.
Runs Bad. Looks good. Plays ok.
Very faithful to the OG, I dont get the hate tbh.
Just a meh experience in general and I cant really recommend buying it unless it was at least half off. Its not the absolute worst game to ever exist, but with the lack of multiplayer and only three prequal missions its hard to justify that $50 price tag especially when comparing it to the Master Chief Collection. The visuals were good looking, I'll give it that, but the metal in the environment was way too shiny for my taste which made everything look wet. Some other gripes of mine have been put much better than I ever could in other users reviews but I'll quickly list them: - Talented voice actors but I believe they received bad direction which led to several lines being out of place or conveying an emotion not appropriate for the given scene - Some cutscenes were changed in a way to make it seem cool, but felt too cheesy or didn't make much sense - Warthog controls defaulted to A and D to turn left and right respectively but this felt sluggish until it reverted to the base standard in settings - Audio of the guns were terrible in most cases, most heartbreaking victims are the magnum, sniper, and BR - Pings and hints were overbearing to the point if felt like the game couldn't trust me to tie my shoes together - The prequal missions were not really to my taste as I felt like there were strong elements to tell a great story but were butchered entirely on execution. The entire "we are the covenant scene" just didn't make any sense as well as the one-sided ODST/Chief beef. - Cosmetics cannot be seen in cutscenes as they are pre-rendered There are a few minor issues I can't remember but those are what stuck with me the most. There is plenty that they did right such as The Library re-design and was an alright experience. I just feel like the price tag cannot be justified for what I felt like my experience was for this game. I might come back to this game eventually but for now I'd rather just play something else so I forget I pre-ordered the premium edition for $70 and try and take another look under a different lens. R.I.P my wallet and hopefully I learned my lesson for the next one (future of this franchise is looking dark given the recent layoffs).
I just completed this game and I can not recommend it at all in its current state also just skip the bonus missions they are trash anyway. You can tell this game was rushed with all of the graphical bugs and enemy AI glitches. Maybe they devs were using Co-Pilot lol. All jokes aside they really messed this game up if you want to play it wait for a steep steep discount. We can always hope Halo one day gets taken over by deves that care about the game and putting out a good product.
Hemos terminado." —Cortana
