Reviews
A fairly good remaster. A bit too expensive, but generally a good re-work of the original game. Cutscenes are amazing, the improved graphics are great (esp. the lighting), and the gameplay is fluid and fun. The writing of the 3 extra missions is a little bit off kilter. MC has always been a 'strong, silent type' and they have him talk a bit too much. They're decent though, and on-par with Reach I think in writing. There's a lot of discourse about how this release 'ruined their childhood' which I consider to be nothing more than performative histrionics. Halo lore has always had a dark and implicitly authoritarian side, esp. surrounding the actions of UNSC and ONI. It's made very clear in the books. The bonus missions make reference to this, and I think that's caused a little bit of negative review bombing.
love it, idgaf what the stupid things people complain about. Stop crying about little nit picky things and enjoy the beautiful game

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

looks as good as i remember it from nostalgia with some small changes and menu, loading screens have a retro look

Releasing Halo CE for a third time, with horrible dialogue, handholding through missions and terrible prequel missions was certainly a choice. I miss when Halo was a sci-fi military shooter. Now it feels like a bad marvel movie. "BuT OdStS hAtE sPaRtAnS jUsT lIkE tHe BoOkS" I dont care. The books seemed more so like it was a rivalry, with certain individuals having a fiery hatred. I seem to remember the odsts in halo 3 and reach getting pretty excited at seeing a spartan helping them. Also would love it if Halo stuck to being a video game instead of dozens of books that explain away the poorly written 343 games.
If you've played the original I would recommend this game but not for a first playthrough. While it can be fun and some of the redesigns such as with the flood are cool, overall this is a watered down version of the campaign. The voice acting too is very odd and nowhere near as good as in the original. 6/10 The new level are terrible though.
You know as someone who's been a Halo fan for a long time, I would have to say this is awesome. I genuinely enjoy this game, And I'm continuing to enjoy as I continue playing. The campaign is awesome, It's exactly like the original for the most part, With some additional stuff added into it that kind of makes the campaign a little better control wise. I would say that there is still room for improvement, But overall I would say this actual remake from the ground up is pretty Dang good. This feels like what the anniversary addition to the first game should have been. Because the anniversary addition to the first game was just a remaster, with slightly better graphics. This game feels like it was built completely from the ground up with its enhanced Playstation 5 level graphics. Definitely something we have needed for either a remaster or a remake for the old Halo games. And the additional bonus levels the three bonus prequel missions that happen a year before the main events of the first Games campaign was pretty Dang awesome as well. There were times during this game that it felt like I was playing a completely new Halo game, And that I forgot I was playing the first game at all just because I felt like a new experience during certain parts of the game. While the game is not perfect I would say it's pretty Dang close to being as perfect as 343 Today it's Halo Studios, I would say this is the best that Halo Studios has made for their Halo games. And I won't spoil too much, But something happens at the very end of the game, I believe it's a post credit scene that kind of confirms or heavily implies that there's going to be a sequel So if the rumors are true we are going to be getting a remake to the 2nd and 3rd Halo game as well. Which I am all down for! Overall, If you're a huge Halo fan and you've wanted a Halo game that has been better than Halo 5 and a Halo 6 Infinite, This is definitely a game worth getting. I would definitely give this game a solid 7.5 or 8 out of 10.
i accidentally played more than 2 hours and now i cant refund it
