Half-Life: Blue Shift

An interesting short Half-Life spin-off told from the perspective of security guard Barney Calhoun, who is trying to survive alongside the scientists rather than save the world. No armor, no science degree, just a pistol, and that alone makes everything feel different. The game overlaps with the original in all the right places. The best moment is the scene where marines drag an unconscious Gordon Freeman toward the trash compactor. We already saw that scene in the first game, only from the other side. Unfortunately, there is almost nothing new in terms of weapons or enemies, and the whole thing takes about 2-3 hours to finish. It is a decent extra helping of the Half-Life universe, nothing more. It will suit anyone who is into the setting itself and wants a bit more Half-Life (1998) content
